23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Do this in remembrance of me
Rememberance:
The act of putting something in the mind for attention or consideration.
State:
The most impacting thing we can give to God is our TIME.
Not the accomplishment of rersponsibilities or callings
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
State:
1st - These things being done are things done by the Spirit power and ability - not ours
2nd - Jesus says he never knew you?
The word “knew” you means:
“to know experiencially”
“To know or have knowledge about someone or something, acquired through observation or the senses.”
This takes TIME
