Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Introduction

My brothers and sisters, I have come to the conclusion that life comes at you fast. Through and vissistitudes ( the hills and values of life), I have found a simple truth that needs to be screamed from the rooftops..

Power Principle: Life will drive you crazy, if you don’t learn to count your blessings! It is a human propensity to gravitate toward the negative things in life. The things that weight down our soul.

Grieving is ok. It is a PURPOSEFUL PROCESS. If we are not careful

we will allow grief to pull us down into the grave.

Will allow sadness to turn our hearts into stone

We will allow Trauma and Trouble to take us out.

But I hear the word of the Lord saying BUT THANKS!!!!

1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Know I need to tell you that no victory comes without a fight. God never promised that we avoid the valleys, but He promised that overall you would have victory!

I. Help Me See it your way!

There is an old adage that says “I complained that I had not shoes until I met a man who had not feet”!

You see the truth is, sometime are circumstances are what they are. They are not going to change and God in his providence has decided not to change them. However,

“Sometimes when you can’t change your position, you have to change your perspective” - Willie Berry

The enemy has a way of trying to get us unfocused on the blessings of God. When thankfulness ceases, we can spiral down into an ungrateful posture and an irreverent attitude.

But the quickest way come out is to count your blessings!

Psalm 27:13–14 NKJV

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Why did David believe he could see the goodness of God? Because he had SEEN the goodness of God! David is saying I’m not going to loose heart. I can see how the Lord has blessed and protected me already. My focus on Him is going to get me through this.

Some people count money, but I’m counting my blessings

Some count titles, but I’m counting my blessings

Some count possessions, but I’m counting my blessings

Some people count other people pockets, but I’m counting my blessings

Paul gives us a prescription that will help us make it through this life

II. What Do I Count?

What is true in our life? How do we align with true things from the voices of fear in our head. The old acronym for F.E.A.R. is false evidence appearing real. God’s word is true. And all though it’s not all good. It’s not all bad.

There are some noble and respect worthy things in my life

I have not lost every battle, I have won many

There are some valuable people and relationships in my life.

There are some commendable things I have witnessed.

I choose to count my blessings One by One!
