A Better Way

Do we ever think it would have been neat to live in OT times? We need to see how much better the message of Christ is. The Hebrew believers are told how much better the new way is. We should be thankful to live under the new covenant.

Believers have not come to the old, terrifying system. (18-21)

The Old Testament believers came to God through physical, tangible means that were terrifying.

There are things we all would be terrified to get near.

The old system was one which instilled terror in sinners who did not deserve to stand before God.

We can see the downfalls of the old ways.

Believers have come to a holy, wonderful kingdom. (22-24)

The new covenant through Jesus Christ makes us holy and allows us to stand before God as part of His kingdom.

Wait for something better

Believers in Christ have it far better than we realize.

We can rejoice in the fact that we are part of the kingdom of God.

We can live joyfully under the new covenant of Jesus Christ.
