Strategic place
He chooses the disciples
First disciples- portraits are painted!
+ healing in the Messianic dawning Isa 35:5-6
+ He has come! At least two thing I will ask you to think through, which we will come back again and again!
- Do you know this teaching, preaching and healing Jesus?
- Did you listen to the double repeat of the follow me? Did you find yourself being the third discourse? Follow me? Teacher, preacher, healing Jesus called you! No turning back! Only hope in life!
स्वाद लिनुहोस्! केहि गर्नुभन्दा अघि- सुसमाचारले घेरोस् तपाईलाई। तपाईको दिन व दिन त्यसले जोस भरिएको होस्!
Not just hearers but followers or in other words= hearers were followers!
Although this miraculous power will be on display, He will speak of what it means to be His disciples!
- What is expected!
प्रारम्भ-बिहानी-शुरुवात अघि अघि जाने यूहन्नाले बाटो तय गरे!
What is our hope in life and death- Christ alone! What is our only confidence- that our sole to Him belong.
He holds everything in His hand.
Nothing should separate us from His love!
O Sing Hallelujah- Our hope springs eternal! Oh Sing Hallelujah- now and never we confess- Christ our hope in life and death!
LORD we take this moment to acknowledge that you are the LORD! We try to do our thing and try to almost sometimes make ourselves happy. And some of us have seen that our ability is worth puking it comes out of a heart that loves to do things because we want to. And some of us have done well listening to your voice. I thank you! Nonetheless we have realized none of us were ready for your Kingdom come. Here we apologize for failing in our thinking and speaking about you. We let you Holy Spirit touch each one of us! Touch each one of us through your Word! It is beautiful to be loved by You! May you touch us with your teaching in power. Heal us! Oh heal us that we can declare your praises. These powers do not belong to you. But to you alone! And we praise You! Do your mighty work in our church once again. We let go of our abilities and decisions, we let you rule over our lives. Help us to yield our lives to the author of the Gospel and Gospel Himself- Jesus! Amen
Best is yet to come yet your power is in display now as well!
Our Purpose: Evangelion (Isa 40-52)
+ Restoration of Jerusalem (Isa 52)
+ “Your God reigns. return of the LORD of Zion. All the ends of the earth will see...”
+ Babylons to Jerusalem that God has arrived.
what is being announced is what God has done to the Israel and this makes them flood into Jerusalem.
Pattern is thinking is important about mission of Jesus and Paul conceptualize the mission to the ends of the earth.
ל
If you are looking for what is the Gospel! Look no further! Jesus is the Gospel! He is the One who teaches, preaches, and heals!
Devil is both limited in power and control in the sense God controls and allows them space to achieve something good.
The most important of all religious questions is simply "Who was Jesus of Nazareth?" The NT insists that our eternal destiny depends on the answer to that fundamental question. No portion of the Bible answers that question as extensively as these first five books. Although some important details about Jesus's identity, life, death, resurrection, and teaching are given in other books of the Bible, our
understanding of Jesus would be terribly impoverished without these five books.
A theologian once told me "It is not what you know about Jesus, but that you know him that really matters." He argued that knowledge of Jesus's miraculous conception, teachings, signs and wonders, death and resurrection was ultimately irrelevant as long as a person "knows" Jesus is some vague mystical way. This is pure nonsense. The fact is that if you do not know some basic facts about a person, you cannot reasonably claim to know that person. These five books enable us to know These five books enable us to know about Jesus so that we can know Jesus.
In the pages of these books, we have the opportunity to eavesdrop on Jesus's instruction of his disciples, experience his amazing miracles, kneel weeping at the foot of the cross, and witness the exhilarating discovery of his empty tomb. We have the privilege of seeing Jesus's power unleashed through his church as they propagate the gospel to the nations. What a tragedy it would be to neglect these precious treasures of divine revelation! Surely anyone who understands the importance of Jesus and these five testimonies to him will want to pore over the pages of the Gospels and Acts every day.
A theologian once told me "It is not what you know about Jesus, but that you know him that really matters."
