Righteousness
Righteousness
What have you done to be accepted?
Men…We’re still figuring it out -
The world puts a standard on everything
Job - Qualifications - Interview Process, maybe a trial.
Police Academy, fitness test - Written test
Citezenship of another country - Test, hoops.
Maybe you don’t feel accepted at home? Had to earn it…
When Jesus came, we where not accepted in the presence of God. We were not accepted in relationship with Him, because of our Sin.
However, The death of Jesus changes all of that.
How are you saved?
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
When this happens, you are bought into the family of God and you are ACCEPTED by God.
The bible calls this righteousness. Jesus got our Sin, and we are made Righteous through Him.
For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
We can get caught in this battle of the mind that we fall in and out of being right before God - Should we confess our Sin, yes, should we ask the HS to destroy Sin in our Life, absolutely, but we are made right before God because of What Jesus has done, not through what you have done or will do. You are accepted, and loved by God.
Moment of reflection
2 things.
If you have Sin, Confess it to God - Say sorry - Jesus died for it - Turn the other way
Think on the fact that you are accepted by God because of the blood that was poured out at calvary.
**Silence**
**Pray**
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
