2. Isaiah 6:1-13 encapsulates the Gospel message in an Old Testament context with Isaiah the Prophet having a YHWH encounter, confessing his sin, receiving atonement, and then being commissioned to spread a prophetic message of repentance, judgement, and hope to a stubborn and sinful people that finds its ultimate fulfilment in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
3. In Isaiah 6:1-13, Isaiah’s atonement of sin undergirds his prophetic message of repentance to the people of Israel which finds its ultimate fulfilment in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
4. Isaiah 6:1-13 presents a message of both despair and hope to a stubborn and sinful people within the context of Isaiah’s own despair and hope at his encounter with YHWH, and this same message finds its ultimate fulfilment in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
5. In Isaiah 6:1-13, Isaiah’s vision of YHWH, confession and atonement of sin, undergirds his commission to proclaim a message of repentance, destruction, and restoration to the stubborn and sinful people of Israel which finds its ultimate fulfilment in the life, ministry, and Gospel of Jesus Christ.
