Introduction

Matthew 12:43–45 ESV
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”
Prayer - Hearts ready for liberation, decision making, and the Holy Spirit would have his way.

Sweeping

Last week we talked about the importance of sweeping
cleaning up the house personally and corporately
not holding onto things like trauma, wounds, hurt, the old man (as a way to keep things alive and fresh)
Highlighting of the Holy Spirit

Sermon Transition

Additional step needs to be taken that’s putting the house in “order”
The Lord gave me Matthew <Verse below>
Matthew 22:37–39 ESV
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Statement - You would think that this was easy.

Call to Action

Place the house in order
Make a Decision

To maintain order in the house you have to decide to keep the two greatest commands

Love Your Neighbor

Having a conversation with a fellow believer
Consumption of alcohol
Behavior and words being offensive (borderline unclean spirit)
Bringing concerns to other members differently (in the Spirit)
After each interaction it was stated that these were being said out of love.
Meditating with the Lord (revelation on situation)
Relationship ended even after pursuing restoration/reconciliation
ONLY AFTER DECISION WAS MADE
Explanation - walking in Spirit rebuke a wise man / walking from a wound we can restrict, tie, and cause others to hurt.
***Why it’s important to make sure that we ourselves are loving ourselves before trying to do anything with anyone else. How can you love someone else when you don’t love you, or operate from a wounded space***

As You Love Yourself

So we can see that there’s a need to have Order already
There’s a need to make sure that before we can give anything to anyone else that we oursleves have something to give
Love and know how to love oursleves
John 13:8 ESV
Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.”
To know love we ourselves have to willing to decide to accept it, we have to be willing to surrender our own desires.
We run the risk of
causing others restrictions, hold debts on others, different standards
bring wounds, traumas, etc to this new relationship, job, church, etc.
Leaving Homosexuality - Fry’s Parking Lot Breakdown of Man
After the initial liberation, it became a will power of my own
As I began to give God the spaces that I had given to Idols, being God to myself etc
It gives back the order necessary to love not only myself, but love your neighbor without fear of (mention above).
From this we can see that when we our following the proper order we’ve been equipped to now walk with another, and speak into others.
Without this how can I give to another
We know how to love, only because God love us first and showed us to.

Love The Lord Your God

John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
The Lord explained righteousness to me “Dying on the cross was only a means to show that he was righteous and could be trusted it is not the full extent of his righteousness
The Lord being Holy
We can see in Jeremiah has a plan for us for good not for evil
But when we make a decision to define anything, or decide to do anything outside of the Lord we begin to corrupt ourselves
We begin to allow through rebellion, playing God for ourselves, unforgiveness, you name it unclean Spirits the right to return and come
We are no longer loving ourselves because the one who loved us first, is no longer first
We then become unable to love our neighbor

This One Great Command

Romans 13:8–10 ESV
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
