I. REMEMBER GOD’S PLAN
I. REMEMBER GOD’S PLAN
3 So Joseph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain in Egypt.
4 But Jacob did not send Joseph’s brother Benjamin with his brothers, for he said, “Lest some calamity befall him.”
5 And the sons of Israel went to buy grain among those who journeyed, for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
8 So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.
9 Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”
Genesis 37:6–7 “6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.””
Genesis 37:8–9 “8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. 9 Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.””

REMEMBER GOD’S PLAN
20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
James 1:12 “12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
2 Peter 2:9 “9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,”
GOD DID IT
II. RESPECT THEIR REMORSE
II. RESPECT THEIR REMORSE
21 Then they said to one another, “We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us.”
22 And Reuben answered them, saying, “Did I not speak to you, saying, ‘Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.”
23 But they did not know that Joseph understood them, for he spoke to them through an interpreter.
24 And he turned himself away from them and wept. Then he returned to them again, and talked with them. And he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes.
Ezekiel 18:31 “31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?”
Proverbs 1:23 “23 Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.”
RESPECT THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE
Cried over my crimes
Mourned over my Misconduct
Grieved over my Guilt
Lamented over my Lewdness
Weeped over my Wickedness
Groaned over my Grief
Moaned over my Mess
Sobbed over my Sin
III. RETURN GOOD FOR EVIL
III. RETURN GOOD FOR EVIL
25 Then Joseph gave a command to fill their sacks with grain, to restore every man’s money to his sack, and to give them provisions for the journey. Thus he did for them.
20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
5 If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it.
29 Do not say, “I will do to him just as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.”
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
James 4:17 “17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
IV. RECOGNIZE THE HAND OF GOD
IV. RECOGNIZE THE HAND OF GOD
23 But he said, “Peace be with you, do not be afraid. Your God and the God of your father has given you treasure in your sacks; I had your money.” Then he brought Simeon out to them.
5 But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.
7 And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
