CONVICTED BY GOD’S WORD
1. Yahweh, who you are belongs to me. 57
2. My actions of a life of repentance. 58-63
3. Yahweh, your mercy is overflowing as seen in
your Word. 64
Yahweh –
your abundant mercy
belongs to me
in the midst of
my sin and repentance.
57; 64
IMPORTANT TRUTHS
1. God’s mercy is abundant.
2. You must choose to turn from your sin.
3. Remaining in my sin is my choice to stay bound
by sin.
4. You must choose to proactively obey God.
5. God’s mercy to repent and live in obedience
belongs to you.
URGENTLY PURSUE GOD’S
MERCY BY REPENTING
AND PROACTIVELY LIVING
IN OBEDIENCE
TO GOD’S DIRECTIVES.
APPLICATION
1. One of the necessities of being in the
Word is so that it convicts me of sin that I
must change.
2. You must be honest about your sin in
order to repent.
APPLICATION
3. Change takes deliberate work on your
part to obey God. You cannot be passive
expecting God to change you when you
live passively in your sin and not putting
effort into change. It will take deliberate,
hard choices on your part.
APPLICATION
4. Take comfort in the fact that your adult
children, extended family, or friends living
in sin who have grown up in church have
God’s Word at work in their hearts even
when you may not see it.
APPLICATION
5. Earnestly and continually seek God’s face
to bring change into your life. Pray lots
that God would have mercy in your life
giving you the grace and strength to live
in obedience – live desperately dependent
upon God for change.
RESPOND TO THE CONVICTION
THAT COMES
THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD.
PRAY, REPENT, OBEY, DEPEND
