Belief or opinion that goes against Biblical doctrine.

2 Peter 2:1–2 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Pernicious -having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way.
We see in 2024 so many so called preachers online who are not qualified to preach, not called to preach and needing the holy ghost themselves. These are troublesome but are not the worst threat to the church.
While Heresy is a problem, it normally comes from outside the church. The greatest interior human threat to the church is a seditious person.
Sedition is conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of scripture doctrine.
Due to a weak spirit or hurt feelings a person might begin to come against the authority of the pastor. This is most often done behind the scenes. Quietly spreading dissent amongst the people.
Not happy with doctrine, not pleased with the pastor preaching against their pleasure or their understanding of scripture.
Beware the seditious, they are trying to build confidence in their opinion by building a following to agree with their views.
Your pastor is now against playing organized sports. The seditious may say well my kids are going to play because it builds teamwork, physical prowess and social skills. Pastor says it builds pride, crude behaviour, raucous actions, and creates a spirit of hate for the opposing team. Pastor preaches against it and you may not like it and say “my kids will do what I say”. You are correct but a seditious person will then go and try to gather a following to back them up. You just became a problem in Gods eyes.

1 Peter 2:5

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Romans 2:8

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Jude 17–23
“But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
What do I do when someone goes against the authority Jesus, the pastor and the church? Get away from them.
Non christian music is not of God, if you get in the car and your church friend is playing wordly music and wont change it, get out and call a ride.
If you are out with friends and they head to the movie theater, get out and call a ride.
When they start cussing and talking vulgar, walk away from them.
They make up all the reasons why the preacher is just being hard. sin is hard, hurtful and cruel. Being a hypocrite is misery.
I’m telling you today to walk away from the person who refuses to follow truth and perverts the scriptures to suit their desires.
I will not fellowship churches that preach that sin is subject to the interpretation of the hearer. That is a hireling giving pleasing speech so the tithe envelope is full.
Don’t ask me to go play nice because they are good people, I will go and stand on truth.

Matthew 7:24-27

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
I don't want to hurt my family, my friends, anyone but I must stand on truth.
Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Romans 8:8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
James 4:17 - Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
