Are Yours Prayers Important and Heard by God?

Revelation 5:8 (NLT)
8 And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.
If you have ever doubted that God cares about or even hears your prayers, than doubt NO more.
In the above passage from Revelations 5 we are told that our prayers are like incense to God. The sweet smell and rising smoke of incense symbolize something pleasing to God, and prayers rising up to God are important to Him.
The writer of Psalm 141:2 asks that his prayer be accepted as incense. This idea is seen throughout the Old Testament, incense is not only a sweet aroma to God it is also prescribed by God as a means of prayer to Him. Further, Luke 1:8-10 tells of an angel appearing to Zechariah while he was burring incense at the altar, with a “great crowd outside praying”. With all this talk of incense and prayer being linked would there should be no questions in your thoughts that God is mindful of your sweet aromatic prayers floating up to Him.
Isaiah 62:5 says that He rejoices over us a a “bridegroom rejoices over his bride”. Then, in Ephesians 5:2 we see Jesus “offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God”. If Jesus’ sacrifice is a pleasing aroma to God that resulted in our becoming the “Bride of Christ” (Revelation 19:7) then our prayers are also pleasing and important to God.
If you accept the previous assertion as true and if you have truly accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour; then you have every reason to believe that God hears, accepts and sees your prayers as something pleasing and important to Him.
Then this all begs the question: How shall we then pray?
Here are some other tips for praying:
Know who you are speaking to: Prayer is a conversation with God, so it's important to know who you are speaking to. You can focus on a specific person in the Holy Trinity, such as Jesus or the Holy Spirit or God the Father.
Open your heart: It's more important to open your heart and not hold back than to use eloquent or memorized words
According to the Bible, Jesus taught us how to pray in the Lord's Prayer, which includes the following steps:
Address God: Address your prayer to God (or one of the Trinity)
Praise God: Praise God for who he is and what he has done
Acknowledge God's plan: Acknowledge that God's plan is in control, not ours
Ask for needs: Ask God for what is need ed
Confess sins: Confess how we have sinned and repent with a humble heart
After you have prayed in the example given to us by Christ:
Listen for God to speak to you!
Simply wait for Him
May God richly bless you as you seek Him via prayer.
As is my custom in these articles I end with this question:
Will I see you in Church on Sunday?
