People who had a heart to bring me to Christ had beautiful feet!
Do you have beautiful feet? Now when you think about different features of people, usually feet is now what comes to mind when you think about Beauty.
Do you think these feet look beautiful?
The Bible actually says we can have beautiful feet?
Isaiah 52:7 NLT
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!
My feet need a transformation.
There were a lot of people who had beautiful feet feet in my life.
When I got to college one of the men who had beautiful feet was Matt Timboe. Matt had just gotten kicked out of NC State and through this experience had gotten right with God.
When I had gotten to college he became my friend and shared his story with me about how God used that situation in his life to change his life. He shared the love of Christ with me. Matt Timboe had beautiful feet.
Here is what the Bible says about beautiful feet!
Today I want to ask you, do you have beautiful feet?
Will you bring good news to those who need it?
As I think about my life I am glad there were people like Matt Timboe who decided they would have beautiful feet.

All these people said I want to bring this great message any and everywhere I go.
Because so many people were willing to have beautiful feet in my life I want to have beautiful feet. I want to bring the good news to those around me.
Today I want us to be a church of people who have beautiful feet.
Will you have beautiful feet today?
Three reasons why we must have beautiful feet.

1. We must have beautiful feet because it reflects a heart that has been changed by God (1-5).

Key Verse-verse 3-
Chapters 9-11 talk a lot about Israel. Paul was an Israelite.
Paul was a lot like Robert and Dinah. They spent a lot of time taking the gospel to places where it was not. But even thought Paul took the gospel to many non Jewish people, he loved his heritage.
We have to remember that Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism.
Look at the history of this great nation and people. (4-5)
Romans 9:4–5 NASB95
who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.
Israel has as amazing of a history of any people that every existed. It started with a Gentile Abraham who God called to be the father of his nation.
Adoptions as sons-
The divine glory-The history of Isreal-Shikinah Glory-
The Covenants-The Abrahamic Covenant
The Receiving of the Law-
The Temple worship-They could worship God, he was right there
The promises-Do you know how many promises are in the Bible that God will not leave you 365. One for every do of the year. Isa. 41:10
There are so many stories from our own history of America and really throughout all of time. But Gentiles were unclean to Jews. They did not eat together. And now you have the Gentiles responding to the good news in droves.
Now you have this Jewish man Paul who is ministering to these unclean Jews. Paul who used to be the biggest celebrity was now not very looked up upon, and even hated.
Romans 9:1–2 NASB95
I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart.
This was an interesting time these people who had such a great history and who were waiting for the Messiah should have been ready to receive him. But something interesting was happening some of the Jewish people were receiving Jesus as messiah but many were rejecting him. But Gentiles were beginning to receive him. Paul wanted to take the gospel where it had never gone before.
How could so many people reject this awaited Messiah he was right in front of them.
PAULS HEART WAS CHANGED BY GOD
Remember how much Paul, then known as Saul hated Christians, he approved of their death and maybe even initiated those who loved Jesus death. But then he had an encounter with Jesus and realized how much Jesus Loved him. His heart was changed.
Romans 9:3 (NASB95)
For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh,
There was a problem and Paul did not blame anyone he took ownership and said I want to stand in the gap. I love my people those closest to me and I want to bring them good news. Pauls feet went from ugly to beautiful.
Application
Church I have seen some good looking feet at this church. One memory I had recently was at our fall fest Doug Pope had invited some people to church and he was waiting out in the foyer just looking for these friends to come to fall fest. Church that day Doug had beautiful feet.
Romans 10:1 (NASB95)
Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.
“Spiritual desires should always be turned into prayer.”
How do we get beautiful feet. We first start praying for those that we want to bring good news to.
Today I am going to ask you to take your scripture memory card and put two people on it that are far from God. Because the first step is the very thing Paul did, is we need to pray for these people. And what I have found is that when we pray for people we may even become the answer to that prayer. But right now I want you to think of two people that God may be asking you to take good news to.

2. We must have beautiful feet because those directly around us need good news (10:1-4).

Key Verse-verse -10:4
Romans 10:2–3 (NASB95)
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.
For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Notice if Paul talked to his people directly by them they would not say we hate God. As a matter of fact they would say we love God. Paul himself knew this all too well. He tried to follow God as best as he could. He may have been doing it the right way but it was not for a lack of effort.
Paul was the epitomy of what these people wanted to be.
They had a works based salvation.
As we have seen in this book that is not the salvation that will get your right with God.
Current
But you know what this still happens today. I have seen people grow up in Christian homes.
I know I tell you guys this question a lot but I ask it all the time, “On a scale of 0-100 how sure are you going to heaven if you die?”
One of my many addiction is hot tubbing. When I was in Colorado there was a hot tub at the hotel we ere at and while I was in there I met a guy named Caesar and I asked him this question.
75% because I am not perfect.
I ask this question because it get’s to the heart of the matter.
But what I have noticed is in this Bible belt we live in people are just like Pauls people they think they are right with God and here are the answers they will give, and almost none of them are the right answer.
70% because I am a good person
60% because I have done some bad things
The stats show that kids who grow up in the church are walking away from the church. Stats range from 50-80% of students who grow up in the church stop attending in college.
And then we hear this testimony way too often:
I raised my kid in the church but not in Christ.
Romans 10:4 (NLT)
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

“The Law was designed not to bring about self-righteousness or self-hope, but contrariwise, self-despair.”

The Law is designed to bring us to Jesus.
GOSPEL-Buckets of Grace-one of my friends who is going through a hard time said man I need buckets of grace.
If we want to bring good news to others we need buckets of grace.

3. We must have beautiful feet because it is God’s way (10:9-15).

Here is the practical. If you don’t have beautiful feet who will. Is the person down the street who does not even go to church going to have beautiful feet.
is the person strung out on drugs going to have beautiful feet.
God’s way is for God’s people to bring God’s message.
Romans 10:9–10 (NASB95)
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Isn’t this message simple.
I wish I could make it more complex.
It is the love of God poured out for sinners.
Romans 10:11–13 (NASB95)
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Why
Romans 10:14–15 NASB95
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
Deon’dre and Beautiful feet multiplication. Now I do not need to look at Deondre’s feet, but here is what I know, these last two weeks he has had eautiful feet.
Everyone who ahas gotten into his uber he has shared the good news with .
