Intro: There comes a moment in time when a reaction or an action needs to be done Paul had come to this moment he'd come to this aha moment in his life if you look back in history we see that the children of Israel came to an aha moment in their life. In the book of numbers chapter 16 we read where the children of Israel had come to the promised land they had sent spies into the promised land to tell them exactly what they're up against. And ten of the spies came back giving a a bad report say in the land is filled with giants the giants are too big for us. You got Joshua and Caleb gave a totally different report let us examine this for just a second.
I. The Children of Isreal
A. Decided the giants were too big
B. they were overcome by the fear of the unknown they lacked trust in God.
C. They didn't like this modus Moses guy or the other leaders that God had put in front of them so they were just going to stone Moses go back to where they were and start all over again because better is being in the world than being under God's rule.
D. They decided they were going back.
II. There is no going back!
A. Your giants aren't that big your faith is just that small
B. they were afraid of the dark
C. in the rebellion they've decided fine Lord if you don't do it our way we're just going to take our ball and go home and we're not going to play this game. They forgot that God is the author and the finisher of the game.
III. Do you know, once you knowthere is no unknowing
A. the Lord looks at us and says choose sides choose you this day whom you will serve
B. you can't Unsee the glory of God in your life
1. Paul was blinded by the revelation of Jesus Christ
2. by the truth he had tried to destroy
3. he ran face first into the brick wall of the reality that God is
C. What are you waiting for?
1. A better time to do it? There is no better time than the present
2. when you're worthy enough? All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, God knew who you were and knows who you are and chooses you anyway. The very fact that you're here today means that God is choosing you, and he has a purpose in your life no matter your circumstance or your age.
3. Acts 2:38
Conclusion : Sometimes, we think we have time, yet time is fluid it is fleeting we are not promised tomorrow. But we know we are promised Jesus for he will never leave us nor forsake us he says if you deny me then I will deny you and he says if you claim me I will claim you claim Jesus to day before it's too late claimed him while he may be found
