CONSECRATION FOR SERVICE—Romans 12:1–2
A. Call—“I urge you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God.”
B. Consecration—“That you offer your bodies.”
C. Charge—“A living sacrifice.”
D. Challenge—“Holy and pleasing to God.”
E. Command—“Which is your true and proper service.”
F. Conforming—“do not be conformed to this world.”
G. Change—“But be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
H. Complete—“That you will be able to prove what is Gods good, and acceptable, and perfect, will.”

A. Personality—v. 3. Don’t be proud—remain humble before God.
B. People—vv. 4–5. All Christians should work together as the different parts of the body work together.
C. Practice—v. 6. Put into practice what God has given you.
D. Preaching—vv. 7–8. If in preaching or teaching, be faithful to God, giving your very best. Put your heart into what you do!

A. Pretense—v. 9. “Don’t just pretend that you love others: really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of good”—LB.
B. Personal—v. 10. Show your respect and honor each other.
C. Persistence—v. 11. Don’t be lazy and indifferent. Be fervent. Lazy and indifference should have no part in your life.
D. Patience—v. 12. Rejoice in hope. Be patient in tribulation. Continue in prayer. All Christians need more patience.

A. People—v. 9. “We are only God’s co-workers. You are God’s garden, not ours; you are God’s building, not ours”—LB.
B. Preaching—v. 10. Paul laid a good foundation through good Bible preaching. This is the best foundation to build upon.
C. Plan—v. 11. There is no other foundation than that of Christ.
D. Purging—vv. 12–13. Many materials are used in a building, but all will be tested by fire.
E. Pay—v. 14. If our work abides, we will be rewarded.
F. Problem—v. 15. Some people barely will make it to heaven. Their lives will keep sinners from accepting Christ.
