WK1- Intro
Do God’s commandments make our lives hard? No, his commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
WK 2- Have no idols before me
Do you remember what an idol is? Anything that you make more important than God. Exodus 20:1-6 .
WK 3- Honour God’s name and keep the sabbath holy
What is taking God’s name in vain? Using God’s name in a disrespectful way.
How do you keep the sabbath holy in the New Covenant? Find rest in Jesus.
WK 4- honour your parents and do not murder
What promise did God give us if we honour our parents? A long life.
What did Jesus say was similar to murder? Being angry and hurting someone’s heart.
WK5- Adultery and theft
What is adultery? Adultery is when a married person has a relationship with another person. Or worshipping false gods.
We know stealing something from a person is wrong, but what is an example of stealing from God? Not sharing our money (tithe) with God is stealing from Him. It shows we do not trust God but are trying to trust in ourselves.
WK 6- Bearing false witness and coveting.
What is bearing false witness? Lying about someone, telling wrong stories about them, or making them sound bad.
What is coveting? Being overly jealous for other people’s things. And not being thankful for what you have.

What happens when we meditate on the word of God and walk in obedience by grace? You will prosper and succeed in everything you do.
