Good Morning. Thank you to Pastor for this opportunity to speak this morning. My name is Kassidy Kromko I am a senior at Faith Bible College International. I have grown up in church my whole life. Growing up in church I have heard many sermons on the end times and end time prophecies. This topic is one that should not be scary if you are saved. God is faithful to his people. If you are not saved this morning is where some of this might seem scary. But let me tell you there is hope in Jesus this morning. Amen! Stand with me in honor of the word of God. Flip with me to 2 Peter 3: 9-13. It reads, “ The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” (English Standard Version) Let us pray. God we thank you for this time to gather together and be in your presence. I pray that you would open hearts and minds to understand. Give me the words to say as I speak your word. If there is anyone here who is not right with you touch their hearts and reveal yourself to them today. We thank you for your goodness. In Jesus Name. Amen. You may be seated this morning.
Wishing None to Perish
Wishing None to Perish
In Verse 9 of this scripture we see Peter is writing that the Lord is patient toward us so that more people can come to repentance before his return. Throughout the scriptures it is made evident that The Lord is extending mercy and grace with time and patience so that as many people as possible will be in heaven one day. Even in the days of the Bible there were countless times like in the days of Noah. God could have wiped out everyone in the world but he saved Noahs family so that would be hope for his family and the future generations. Sodom and Gomorrah is another example of God’s grace and patience for people.
