The End Time: Past, Present and Future.

Mark 13:24-32

Egli manderà gli angeli e radunerà i suoi eletti.

I discepoli non devono lasciare si turbare dalle catastrofi né sedure da prodigi e falsi messagi. Ci penserà il Signore a radunare i suoi eletti da ogni parte della terra. Tutto orientato verso la venuta del figlio dell’uomo > con grande potenza e gloria Marco 13:26

Mark 13:24-32: Who are the elect ?(ἐκλεκτός)

Dear friends of Jesus Christ, this evening we are gathered before the presence of Jesus Christ. We have been given the gospel of Mark for our liturgical celebration of Sunday. We are in the penultimate week of the liturgical year, Jesus has finally arrived in Jerusalem. Close to his passion and death, he gives us a teaching of hope, telling us what it will be like when he returns again in glory.

Dear brothers and sisters, our question is: where is the son of God now until his second coming? We can hear again this word of the son of God Mark 13:26 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with power and great glory." We must believe the real truth, Jesus lives in the world, especially in the church, mystically in the Word and sacraments until the second coming of Jesus. Then we believe and listen to Him: “He will send the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” Who are his elect? In the Gospel of Mark, three times we hear "the word: the elect. The elect who are chosen by God (Mk 13:20). So what are they doing? They are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice, therefore they participate in the sacraments. The elect must not be disturbed by disasters or seduced by wonders and false messages. The Lord will take care of gathering his elect from every part of the earth.

Dear brothers, sisters and children, why are you here? You are here as elect to listen to the word of God, to put it into practice and receive Jesus in the sacrament of the Eucharist until the second coming of Jesus. The elect are not like children, parents and friends who do not listen to the word of God and do not receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Jesus tells you that you are not like them, but you take heed to yourselves (Mk 13:9), Mk 13:33 Watch, Do not let him find you sleeping, be careful, watch, because he does not you know when it is time for the second coming of Jesus Christ with great power and glory.

In today's preface we pray like this: "From you we receive existence, energy and life: every day of our pilgrimage on earth is an ever new gift of your love for us and a pledge of immortal life. This world, for us is the house of the Lord, we have given the power to use - material goods and spiritual goods until the second coming of Jesus Christ.
