Redefine the Mission
Ryan’s Objective: When Ryan started this group, he proposed a much larger than life mission for us all to bear: To be gospel-minded individuals who could disciple others within and outside the church.
This of course is not just a mission that Ryan has challenged us with, it’s a mission that’s clearly explained throughout the New Testament.
Just prior to Christ’s ascension, he commanded the disciples to go and proclaim the gospel to all the nations. Every tongue, every tribe, every nation so that they would know the risen Christ who came to fulfill the promises of the prophets and bring salvation to those of faith so that they would dwell again with God in heaven.
The gospel is our foundation, it is our hope, our comfort, our rest and joy. It’s the very thing we depend on.
Kowing such truths should cause to see the need we once had and provide for those in need of Christ through the empowering of the Spirit...
Now who here feels ready for that?
When Ryan and James began this group, they had it in mind that each of us would start a group of our own at this point. At least somehow in someway, take up the calling to be a disciple and make disciples through the study of God’s word.
