Do only what God tells you to do!

Whenever is comes to What God is doing there are always going to be other voices that try to negate the will of God-
In Acts 3-7 it is the Pharisees and religious leaders
They tell the apostles to stop proclaiming the name of Jesus-
Stop Healing people in that Name
They go to the point of killing Stephen
Acts 5- It is Satan trying to creep into the church and cause it to be corrupted by sin through Ananias and Sapphire - Just as He did in the Garden
Cause sin and corruption gives Him the power to destroy
Acts 8- It’s a man named Saul who set Himself against the Church and the move of the Spirit
He went as far as to seek the believers out in order to terminate them
Acts 10- It is Peter’s own ignorance and his own beliefs- Acts 10:28
Acts 10:28 ESV
And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.
Acts 11- It is other believers
Acts 11:1–3 ESV
Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party criticized him, saying, “You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.”

Do what God tells you!

Whenever God is Moving there is always going to be people who stand opposed to it, and the best biblical advise I can give you as your pastor is - Get into the Flow of the Holy Ghost
When God moves everyone comes out of the woods to kill it
The enemy will also have someone on hand to atop what God is doing
Even Christians
Acts 11:1–3 ESV
Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party criticized him, saying, “You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.”
Even our own thoughts
2 Corinthians 10:5 ESV
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
These People came to Peter When?
After they had heard about the move of God that was taking place among the gentiles
And what did they do?
Acts 11:2 AMP
So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party [certain Jewish Christians] found fault with him [separating themselves from him in a hostile spirit, opposing and disputing and contending with him],
They were hostile to Peter because God moved in a way that they weren’t comfortable with
They weren’t mad that the gentiles were going hell
and they weren’t happy when they heard how the spirit was poured out
There are some people who will never experience a move of God because they have become like these religious people in Acts 11
their religious spirit says “God can’t move like that”
Ever since Acts 2- God has been moving in ways that these believers have never experienced until the Holy Spirit was poured out
this is why the holy Spirit is so important in the our lives
He speaks to those who hear and works through those who are willing

Why was Peter on the roof in Acts chapter 10?

Acts 10:9 ESV
The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.
He went up there to “PRAY”-
Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament based on Semantic Domains 33.178 εὔχομαι; προσεύχομαι; εὐχή, ῆς; προσευχή, ῆς

33.178 εὔχομαιa; προσεύχομαι; εὐχήa, ῆς f; προσευχήa, ῆς f: to speak to or to make requests of God—‘to pray, to speak to God, to ask God for, prayer.’

Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament based on Semantic Domains 33.178 εὔχομαι; προσεύχομαι; εὐχή, ῆς; προσευχή, ῆς

The most generic expression for prayer may simply be ‘to speak to God.’

He went to Speak with God- He made time for what was most important in the life of believers- and that is to be in the presence of God!
This is the why He was able to do the will of God- because He knew the will of God BECAUSE HE MADE TIME TO SPEAK TO GOD-
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE VOICE OF GOD THEN SPEND TIME IN HIS PRESENCE
In corporate setting
Be where the Spirit is moving
In your private life-
Treat the presence of God as the most important thing in you life
Matthew 13:44–46 ESV
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Peter was willing to deny His hunger for the presence of God
Make time for God and God will use your life

Don’t ever back down from doing the will of God or receiving the will of God

God plus you are the majority-
Romans 8:31 ESV
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
This is the Mentality it takes to be a doer of the Word- Be the person who does what the Spirit says-
This is Faith in action!

Move with the Spirit-

Acts 11:12 ESV
And the Spirit told me to go with them, making no distinction. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house.
The Spirit Told Peter to go- Move with the Spirit and see what He will do
Peter had no idea what was ahead of Him, He had to trust the Spirit - AND YOU DONT TRUST WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW
Acts 11:15 ESV
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
A Great move of God that Happened because it is not based on our human understanding or will
BUT BECAUSE THE SPIRIT IS AT WORK!

The Flow of the Spirit-

The flow of the Holy Spirit is the will of God-
1 Corinthians 2:10–13 AMP
Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].
We have the mind of Christ through the Spirit
1 Corinthians 2:16 ESV
“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
It is because we have the SPirit we have the mind of Christ and can do the will of God- This is the flow of the Spirit
Jesus was Filled with the Spirit-
Acts 10:38 ESV
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
It was be cause He was filled, Jesus went about doing good and healing
2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

We have the Spirit of Power upon our lives to go about doing good- WHICH IS THE WILL OF GOD

John 6:38 ESV
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.
This is the Flow- This is where the anointing begins to move
1 John 2:20 ESV
But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

Act from the Anointing that is From the Spirit-

Acts 11:15–17 ESV
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning. And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?”
don’t block what God wants to do because of your own fear, doubts, or disbelief
you fear that you lack the ability
You fear that you are good enough
God used a donkey
2 Chronicles 16:9 ESV
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”
Doubt- You don’t believe that you can be used by God
The Anointing is the Spirit at work in and through you
Play with House money and see that God does uphold His word and His name
He is a healing God
He sets captives free
Disbelief- You don’t belief that this anointing is for your live- You aren’t a pastor, or a prophet-
But the gifts are for the believers, because God give them to the church

Don’t live in Doubt move by faith!

Acts 11:18 ESV
When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”
When you live according to the anointing you silence the opposition
And you find that you actually become part of the move of God
Word begins to spread and the movement the flow grows!
Acts 11:19–22 ESV
Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

The book of Acts is our Heritage- The founding of the Church

Just as God moved then He can move now
Malachi 3:6 ESV
“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.
Thats same Holy Spirit that was poured out on the believers in Acts 2- is the Same holy Spirit that was poured out on the Samaritans in Acts 8- and it is the same Holy Spirit that was poured out on Paul in Acts 9-
It is the same Holy Spirit that is pour out on the Gentiles in Acts 10-
Acts 11:15 ESV
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
it si the same Holy Spirit that was on the life of Jesus
And it si the Power by which we “Live and Move and Have our Being”

Do have the hunger for the Spirit

Do you desire for it in your life?
Is the Presence of God a necessity in your life?
Because the eyes of the Lord are search for who’s heart are completely devoted to Him
Devotion is passion, and what you are passionate about you life for, and want more, and give all to obtain
This was Paul’s Cry in Phil 3- I want more, I want more, I want more
And I will give everything to obtain all that God has for me!
Philippians 3:8–14 ESV
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
