v. 22-26
Wisdom is timeless, going back from before the very beginning of time. Prior to even the depths of the universe, the wisdom of God existed. We should keep in mind that it was with great wisdom that God created the world and all that is in it. Which transitions to the next section.
v. 27-31
The presence of wisdom was there during the creation of the world. “I was there” in 27a and “I was beside Him” in 30a.
A master workman is described in the ESV but there are other translations that describe wisdom as looking over God as a little child would observe and be an admirer. Either way, the presence of wisdom is strong during the creation story.
The second half of this section describes the delight that wisdom has being beside God and witnessing His creation.
v. 32-36
The one who does wisdom is blessed. Not only should we hear wisdom but we should never neglect to actually do what it is that is wise. In verse 34, notice the similarity between the adulterous woman and the watching daily at the gates and door of wisdom.
