The assumption is that if someone does anything for you, you say “thank you.” From the time we start learning how to speak, after Mama and Dada, yes and no, the first sentence we learn is often times “Thank you.” (Preach)

1. Serving and Singing

You can give thanks your celebration for sure, but also by your service. Serve the LORD with gladness (jubilation) (PREACH)
Singing in this context isn’t just reserved for the choir. The song in your heart needs to be a song of salvation.

2. Sheppard and Sheep

Here David gives us the first reason. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. At this point the author must be recalling some things. Must be thinking about some things. Remembering some things. That both for the individual and the community it is God who has made us and brought.

3. Showing up, because we’re Saved

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
Expectation for worship
The last reason he gives is the bottom line, end of discussion, catch all phrase of the text and sermon.
For the LORD is good
His Mercy is everlasting
And His truth endure to all generations.
Faithful in creation, Faithful covered us after the fall, Abraham, Delivered Joseph, Faithful Delivered Israel, Jericho, Saved Rahab, Esther, Delivered Gideon, Sampson, Hanna cry, saw David’s heart, Hezekiah, Trailer of the salvific work of Jesus, Three Hebrews in the Fire, Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Esther in captivity, restore the land to Israel after captivity,
promise a child to Zechariah and Elizabeth, Young betrothed girl named Mary,
Jesus, was faithful when he---
He’s still faithful to you---faithful when he heard you
