Happy People

Happy People Psalm 144:15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

To begin with brothers and sisters christian friends well wishers and saints of God I want to talk about Happy People. It’s a good thing to be happy.And let me say this happiness is not just a feeling but it’s a state of being. So a man thinks, so is he. In this season I feel like being happy. I think like being happy. I determine in my spirit man to be happy. The unknown author said You need to learn to work with yourself, and use you own will power on the side of yourself. In other words take care of you first.. Then I can see how to take care of you.

And then just start saying affirmations out loud. Affirmations like Life and death are in the power of my tongue. I will live and not die.

Affirmations like I will bless the Lord at all times He’s Good.

Affirmations Like I lift up my eyes toward the hills and the psalmist said and I don’t care how many enemies are hiding in them hills because My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Speak Affirmations to make yourself happy like the Joy of the Lord is my strength.

The bible is full of reasons to be happy and not let yourself be sad. There are a plethora of senarios in this great book that tell us reasons to be happy.

For instance:

1. In Genesis 17 Sarah laughed at the idea of her having a baby at 90 years old, but All things are possible with God Almighty Sarah had the baby and called him Isaac. and Isaac means He laughs… And the laughter of disbelief turned into the laughter of delight. Talk to me somebody… How many times have God turned that thing around when you know! you were at the dead end in the street. Let me tell you what God will do. God will make a whole highway at the end of a dead end street to make sure his people are Happy People. I’m talking about Happy People.

2. In Genesis 28:16 Says that after Jacob had tricked his older brother Esau out of his birthright blessing Jacob had to run out of town. While asleep in the wilderness Jacob had a dream and he saw the stairway to heaven. There were angels ascending and descending on the stairway to heaven and Jacob woke up and said. The Lord is in this place and I did not know it. Brothers and sisters the Lord is here, the Lord is there, and the Lord is everywhere and that alone makes me happy but also God watched over Jacob and Jacob vowed to give the Lord a tenth of what ever he acquired. and because Jacob honored the Lord God made his rich and prosperous and Happy. I’m talking about Happy people today.

There are some things we can do to secure happiness. And There are some things we can do become Happy People

3. In 2 Ch 7:10 King Solomon sent the people away with merry heart. They were happy because the LORD had been so good to Israel and that’s when Solomon, penned this famous passage in 2 Chr. 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

That ought to make you happy right there. Tell your neighbor: That ought to make you happy.

Because help is on the way......So happiness is a state of being and it depends on the situation.

In each case there were different reasons why the people of God were happy.

I’m Happy because He woke me up this morning and I’m grateful that I’m still on the land of the living and I’m blessed because it’s another day’s journey and I’m glad about it, and I’m thankful because God made a way out of no way just for me. And the church said Amen.

The word Happy in the Psalms 144:15 text in Hebrew vernacular is the word :ʾEsher And the connotation here is that David is saying at the end of the Psalms that the believer is Happy.

And so let’s explore the text to get an understanding as to why the writer says he’s Happy. In Psalms 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: 2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

1. David’s Prayer and Petition for Victory

In verse 1 David starts off putting honor and respect where it goes. He says Blessed the Lord which is another way to say Praise the Lord. Everybody say Praise The Lord.” David said Lord it’s you who teach me to go to war and teach my hands to fight. And David being a warrior king said Lord you teach and equip me for battle.

Then, In verse 2. David said Lord you love me, you defend me, you save me, you shield me, and you protect me. And then Lord you know how Israel can act at times and Lord you keep them under control.

2. David is in Awe For how God cares and have compassion for Israel and for mankind.

Let’s look at the text and see why.3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! 4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. NCV In verse 3 David said Lord I don’t even see why mankind is important to you because we are flawed creatures of your great creation.

And Some of us don’t realize that God doesn’t have to be that gracious to us. God could let your enemies over take you but He didn’t.

Briefly David said in the text “Lord you see that I have some enemies. David said come get em Lord Then “Lord while you’re getting them Please Reach down from heaven above and Save me and rescue me out of this sea of enemies. When I read this text I said “That’s a lot of enemies David.”

David said I’ve got so many foreign enemies and they are NOT the familiar adversaries that I’m used of fighting. David said Because They are liars; and they are dishonest. David said they are strange children who fight dirty, and they won’t fight fair.

Oh but God, God will make your enemies your footstool. Verse 9 says “I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. 10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

Again I noticed that Happiness is a state of being. Because the first thing David does is

1. Start singing a new song to God. And that means start rejoicing even in the midst of your trails and tribulations Start rejoicing in the midst of trouble because trouble can’t last always.

2. David uses his skill set for the Lord. Nobody ought to have to beg you to do for the Lord what you’re good at doing..

3. In verse 10 David acknowledges that It’s the Hand of God that gives kings salvation.

David does not trust in himself as if he doesn’t need God’s protection…

David is a mighty warrior. but he knows that If it had not been for the Lord on my side I would have failed a longgggg time ago. Brothers and sisters that means whatever you’re facing, what ever it is, Put God First! The old meter used to sing says If the Lord don’t help me I can’t stand the storm. oo ooo oo Lordy. David said these folk are not honest and they’ll do every lewd thing to get ahead. David said in verse 11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children,

Brothers and sisters And In 2024 our N.S.M.O. or our New Standard Mode of Operation must not be that of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

In other words we’re headed for a Kakistocracy. Let me teach you something new A Kakistocracy is Government by the worst and least qualified people you can find to be in charge. Say it ain’t so pastor.

Lord Save us, rescue us from these foreigners because they don’t even sound like decent law abiding Americans They are liars at their core; and they are dishonest is all of their dealings. Lord have mercy on America.

Then the conversation shifts to the recovery and the expectation modes Look at verses 12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: 13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: 14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

The Recovery Mode and the Expectation Mode is that

1. In verse 12 Let our sons in their youth grow like plants. And stop the killing and violence in our streets everyday and night. And what’s really sad is that there is a master plan to exterminate the black male. A Black Father has to fear every time his sons go out day or night. No other race had to do that.

2. Then in the B clause of verse 12 it says Let our daughters be like the decorated stones in the Temple. In other words we ought to teach our girls that they can be elegant and classy like polished jewels and dignified with intelligence, and decent enough to sit at the dining room table on thanksgiving and be holy before the Lord. And the church said Amen.

I’m trying to teach the church how to be Happy People.

3. In verse 13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

In other words Let our barns be filled with all kind of crops. Let us get smart and create our own businesses. Let’s adopt a model for success and the producer for our own future. the text says Let our sheep in the fields have thousands and tens of thousands of lambs.

In other words let create wealth in our own community and support each other. Because in 2025 the pendulum is swinging in the opposite direction away from Black America! So Wake Up!!! If you want to be a Happy People wake Up

Time out for thinking nothing doing nothing and being nothing. We must use our intellectual capacities for our own forward motion, our own productive paths to success, our own superlative conquests, and our own upwardly mobile perpetual motion . If you want to be Happy you can never be satisfied with the stagnation of Mark Time March..

Marking Time Looks good but we aren’t going anywhere. It’s like a rocking chair it looks good it’s relaxing but you just going back and forth but you’re never actually moving forward. Teach me Pastor. If you want to be Happy, Be Woke.

The Last set of directives come in verse 14. That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

And what verse 14 means is that when the text says Let our cattle be strong, it’s saying let our economy be strong all around the world and especially in the Black Community because that’s the premise of our own self preservation. Because IF YOU’RE NOT THINKING ABOUT YOU, I KNOW YOU DON’T THINK THEM OTHER PEOPLE ARE THINKING ABOUT ADVANCING OUR CAUSES DO YOU?

Next We have to prepare ourselves to be Happy people. Happy People Don’t Let anyone break in. This means fortify your infrastructure. Sometimes the enemy is within. And when you get solid with the Lord the enemy can’t break in and steal and can’t kill. That means Clean up your life so there will be no need to go to war. and there will be no need to be complaining in the streets. Because I’m telling you marching in the streets with signs and banners doesn’t seem to make folk with wicked thoughts and devilish deed and sinister motives stop doing evil.

And we see mothers and Fathers screaming in our streets begging for a change. And they are in misery because of the violence in our streets.And the church said Amen

And so Pastor what’s the solution? There will not be a change until we put God first. Put God back in Charge. Put God back at the Head Because the bible says in verse 15 and I’m through

15 “Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

Happy are the people who remember to go back to the old land mark and value a true relationship with the Lord.

Happy are the People who have decided that no matter what happens For Christ I live and for Christ I’m willing to die.

Happy People are folk that know that despite all that I’ve been through I still have joy. Because the joy of the Lord is my strength.

Happy People are folk who say I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord where prayers can be heard and mercy can be found.

Happy People are folk who say as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Happy People are folk who Trust In the Lord with all their hearts and refuse to lean to their own understanding but in all their ways acknowledge God because he will direct their paths ..

Happy People are folk that know that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delights in His way.

Happy People understand the word of God is Powerful when it says Be still and know that I am God.

Happy People know that God is in Control. God is Omnipotent , God is Omniscient and God is Omnipresent.

Happy People know that we have guardian angels watching over us day and night. with a shield of protection all around us.

Happy People know that the Lord perseveres our going ins and our going out and he will not suffer our foot to be moved.

Happy People will Rest in the Lord when everybody else is flipping out, flashing out, and flaking out. We are still calm, cool, and collected because the Lord is on our side.

Happy People know it doesn’t matter if there is a famine in the land because in God’s economy it’s all gravy because his word say that “thou prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies Thou anointest my head with oil my cup runneth over and over and over and over .

Happy People don’t mind blessing God with the first fruits of their increases because people who bring tithes before the Lord get abundant blessings.The Good Lord open up windows and pour out blessings that we don’t have room enough to receive.

Happy People know that eyes have not seen nor ears heard the wonderful things that the Lord has prepared for his saints.

I’m just about through but tah Happy People don’t mind shouting about the Good News of Jesus Christ Because God gave his precious gift to this old sinful world The bible says in John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Yes

I’m out of here now But tah One Friday um um they took my Lord and your God, yes and they led Him on Up to Calvary’s Hill. They stretched Him wide and hung Him up high and Oh He died. Yes But that’s not the end of the story because three days later, Early, Early Early Sunday Morning He Got Up! With All Power in His Hands. He’s got Power to speak and men live Power to lay men down to die
