My life can be full of busyness, anyone else feel that way?
I believe that we can’t keep any of these plates from our own strength, but I believe God calls us to pause and focus on what most important. Himself.
The scripture we are going to look at today is going to reminds us to pause and trust God amidst the chaos.
Let’s read it all together:
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
PRAY
I have 3 things that I believe we need to do from this passage.
Stop and Be Still
Stop and Be Still
The phrase "be still" means to cease striving, let go, and surrender control.
Matthew 11:28 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Our lives can be very busy, we can have all these things in our checklist of things to do. But God tells, hey those might all be great, but I am greater. It is important for us to stop and be still.
Know Who God Is
Know Who God Is
To "know" God is more than knowing about Him; it’s about trusting His character and promises.
Isaiah 40:28 - "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God."
God knows everything that we are going through. When you know that, when you know that He is with you always, you can trust that He wants what is best for you.
Insert Holy Spirit. - I was sharing today but knowing God is also knowing who He is in 3 parts. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He sent His son to die for us, and we will talk more about that in a second but He also give us His Holy Spirit. Because when we know God, He gives us His spirit and the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead, now lives in us as we walk with Him. and we can walk in that power and freedom.
Ephesians 1:19-21 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.
Trust That God is in Control
Trust That God is in Control
God declares, "I will be exalted" — this shows His power and ownership over the nations and the earth.
Haiti Story
Trusting in Jesus might be the hardest things we do, but one of the most worth things we do.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
In the busyness of life..
In the busyness of life..

Trust in His plan
