Psalm 40:1-10.

Central Idea: We worship amidst the waiting because God has done great things for us.

Objectives:

Cognitive: I want the hearers to know that life is full of waiting, but we are to worship amidst the waiting.

Affective: I want the hearers to feel the benefits of worshipping while they wait.

Psycho-Motor: I want the hearers to worship amidst the waiting by delighting in God’s Word and sharing what God has done.

Guiding Question:

What are we to do in the waiting?

Worship while we wait. [vv. 1-5]

Delight in God’s Word. [vv. 6-8]

Share what God has done for us. [vv. 9-10]
