IN HIS WILL

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 NKJV

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Main Idea: Obedience to the Word of God is the will of God.

Key Question: Are you allowing the Bible to direct your life.

1. The will of God is for you to always rejoice. (v. 16)

Rejoice always,

2 Corinthians 4:16–18 NKJV

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Galatians 5:22 NKJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV

2. The will of God is for you to always pray. (v. 17)

3. The will of God is for you to always give thanks. (v. 18)

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
