Baptism Does not Save You.

Salvation is not Baptism, and Baptism is not Salvation

Acts 16:30–33 “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.”
Salvation is Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ died on the Cross for Our sins! And in order to be saved according ot this verse its not Baptism that saves you but Faith in Jesus Christ!

Baptism Does not Wash Away Your Sins

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
According to this Verse what cleanses us? THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

Blood Washes Away Sin

If blood Washes away our sins than clearly being baptized cant be the means by which our problem with sin is dealt with!

Salvation 3 Aspects 1 Reallity.

1. Admit You have sinned against God

Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”

2. Believe on The name of Jesus Christ and that he Died in your place paying the penalty of your sins.

Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

3. Call upon the name of the Lord!

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
This is Spiritual Baptism this is being washed in the blood of the lamb!
Now Water Baptism is Differnt
My plea to you is this, if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour would you do that today>?

Baptism By Water

Baptism was commanded of Christ

Matthew 28:19–20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Baptism Identifies You with Christ

Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
At Salvation you have been spiritually Baptised, we have been fully immersed in his blood and washed ! in his blood as our verse in 1 John 1:7 exaplined.
But water baptism symbolizes the change.
Romans 6:3–5 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:”
Romans 6:6–7 KJV 1900
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Water symbolizes the beautiful transaction that was made before God !

The Pre Requisit for Baptism

Salvation

Acts 8:36–38 “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”
