I Resolve

INTRODUCTION:

I have chosen as our text for this evening the following passage:

Isaiah 43:18–19 (NVI)

18 “Esqueçam o que se foi;

não vivam no passado.

19 Vejam, estou fazendo uma coisa nova!

Ela já está surgindo! Vocês não a reconhecem?

Até no deserto vou abrir um caminho

e riachos no ermo.

“Esqueçam o que se foi; não vivam no passado.”

2024 se foi…

esta chegando um novo ano…

então eu resolvi algumas coisas…

The title of my message for the New Years Eve is

“I RESOLVE.”

I. I RESOLVE TO BE FAITHFUL AND OBEDIENT TO THE LORD IN MY ATTENDANCE AT HIS CHURCH: (Heb. 10:25)

25 Não deixemos de reunir-nos como igreja, segundo o costume de alguns, mas procuremos encorajar-nos uns aos outros, ainda mais quando vocês vêem que se aproxima o Dia.

A. In my Sunday School Class where I will diligently study God’s Word.

2 Timothy 2:15 NVI

15 Procure apresentar-se a Deus aprovado, como obreiro que não tem do que se envergonhar e que maneja corretamente a palavra da verdade.

11 Guardei no coração a tua palavra para não pecar contra ti.

B. In my attendance at both the Sunday morning and evening preaching services.

1. To worship God in spirit and in truth

2. To let my testimony be known for the Lord Jesus Christ

3. To give my Pastor all of the moral and spiritual support I possibly can

C. With my presence at the mid-week prayer and praise service.

1. To pray for and with my church

2. To pray for the services of my church

3. To pray for our Sunday School teachers and pastor

II. I RESOLVE TO LIVE MY LIFE IN SUCH A MANNER THAT OTHERS MAY SEE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST LIVING IN ME: (Phil. 1:21a)

A. Where I am employed

B. Before my teachers and fellow classmates at school

C. In my home before my mate, my children and my parents

III. I RESOLVE TO BE A WITNESS FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO THE LOST.

A. Our Lord admonishes us to do so

B. The lost are dependent upon us to do so.

C. We shall be rewarded for doing so

IV. I RESOLVE TO BE FAITHFUL TO THE LORD AND SAVIOUR IN THIS MATTER OF FINANCE.

A. My tithe, ten per cent of my income.

B. My free will love offerings

C. My faith promise mission offering (Lk. 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6–8)

CONCLUSION:

Will YOU accept the challenge made at the beginning of this outline? If you will you will soon note the wonderful change in your attitudes and relationship to the Lord and His people.
