Psalm 56
Psalm 56
Truth #1: When we put our trust in the Lord, what can man do to us? Sounds very similar to Jesus saying not to fear those who can kill the body.
Truth #2: The Lord keeps track of the wrongs performed against us and we can be confident that He shall avenge us.
Psalm 57
Psalm 57
Truth #1: God will save us when we cry out for him in the midst of our “storms of destruction” .
Truth #2: We should praise God for everything he has done “among the peoples” and “among the nations”. (Indeed, this is what the Church does in worshipping Christ.)
Psalm 58
Psalm 58
Truth #1: There are principalities of darkness that lead men astray and into sin. Men are thoroughly corrupted from sin.
Truth #2: The Lord judges sin and the powers of darkness. He completely destroys them and the righteous rejoice.
I read a chapter of Practice in the Presence of God and I read the Nicene Creed.
