Birds-Eye View of Romans
I. (1:1-17) Introduction - Something that introduces a part of a book or treatise preliminary to the main portion.
II. (1:18-3:19) Condemnation - To be condemned. (Everyone - Religious, Heathen, & Moral.)
III. (3:20-5:21) Justification - To be declared right.
IV. (6:1-8:39) Sanctification - To be set apart. (Types of santification positional / progressivness)
V. (9:1-11:36) Vindication - To be shown in the right / vindicated.
VI. (12:1-15:33) Application - To put into practice what we already know.
VII. (16:1-27) Saluation - A goodby.
Important Words to know....
Recon - To count it as so.
Propitiaiton - To satisfy the wrath of God against sin or to appease the anger of God. (Jim Caldwell)
Imperative - Commandment
Righteousness - Conformity to a standard.
Harmartia - To miss the mark.
Impute - To charge to one’s account
