Genesis 18:9–11

9They said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “She is in the tent.”

10The Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him. 11Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah.

Genesis 18:12–15 (ESV)

12So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?”

13The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. He said, “No, but you did laugh.”

Point 1 We can Rejoice in his presence

When we look at the true meaning of Christmas, its the anticipation - THE WAITING

of the Coming/ and Arrival.

A.) We prepare to Celabrate not only the birth (BUT) ALSO the Full-fillment of the Promises of God.

B.) God is in the business of Making covenents and forfilling his Promises/ His Promises HAVENT FAILED

What can we hold onto when things begin to fall apart?

Matthew 28:20 ESV

teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

C.) The defintion of Promises: A declaration writen or verbal made by one person to another which binds that person, who made it to do a specific act that causes hope, Expectation or assurance.

From the begining we can see that God is a covent making God: WHAT IS A COVENT: The Jewish faith is based on the biblical covenants made with Abraham, Moses and David

Psalm 119:162 (NIV)

I rejoice in your promise

like one who finds great spoil.

A.) How do we draw from his promises????

2 corinthians 12 9-11 When i am weak you are strong / and we relize the his Grace is sufficiant

Christ was Predestined before the world was created, to come and rule the Earth

The word Predestined: An outcoe or course - of event determined in advance by divine will.

A.) He was always Chosen by God

b.) Before the earth was formed he Knew that Jesus was always going into the Earth

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

A.) Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign/ a virgin birth....

B.) Though Christ was born in the flesh, We can see the Diety of God.....

FASTFORWARD TO:

John 14:9 (ESV) Jesus said Whoever seen me has seen the FATHER

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

A.) Jesus was sent into this world to do only what he had seen his father do.. RESTORE HIS CREATION: AND TAKE BACK WHAT HAD BEEN LOST IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN

POINT 3 from the beginning he has tried to oppse God

Genesis 3:15 ESV

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

A.) From the Beginning the enemy had tried to Oppose God, “he SAID” i can be like God

B.) Here this Point: He wanted to be like God and he was casted out

C.) It was enoungh that he fell from heavens grace, / but Caused man to fall

Then the Provision:

1 Corinthians 15:55–57 ESV

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 (ESV)

For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given;

and the government shall be upon his shoulder, - A GLIMPS

and his name shall be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

A son was given:

His promise was spoken

Gods promises may seen impossible
