Through storms and trials, the Holy Spirit carries the Church

Acts 27:21–25 “Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul then stood up among them and said, “You men should have followed my advice not to sail from Crete and sustain this damage and loss. Now I urge you to take courage, because there will be no loss of any of your lives, but only of the ship. For last night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood by me and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’ So take courage, men, because I believe God that it will be just the way it was told to me.”
Acts 27:33–36 “When it was about daylight, Paul urged them all to take food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have been waiting and going without food, having eaten nothing. So I urge you to take some food. For this is for your survival, since none of you will lose a hair from your head.” After he said these things and had taken some bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all of them, and after he broke it, he began to eat. They all were encouraged and took food themselves.”
Luke 1:30–33 “Then the angel told her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.””

Luke’s Message in Acts: The Holy Spirit is the unseen God directing our lives towards Salvation.

Even when you can’t see what God is doing, or how can use the mess you’re in, SOMEHOW God is still at work!

Paul was not looking for Jesus, but Jesus had plans for Paul.

We too easily dismiss our lives as uneventful and “normal”. When there is nothing boring or normal about what God has done, is doing, or will do in your life through the work of the Holy Spirit.

The Power of Perseverance

Church….you have no idea the power that is hidden in your faithful, consistent obedience to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. Many of us (in the church) miss it because to us faithfulness and a surrendered life don’t seem very exciting.
Here’s the truth; If you will keep showing up, keep worshipping, keep praying, keep enduring hardship and temptation…YOU WILL see God’s kingdom come.
You will find comfort.
You will find contentment.
You will find joy.
You will find purpose.
You AND the world will be saved!
