Zach take us through the battles that David faces as he prepares to fight Goliath. Battles ranging from a jealous and angry brother, to a doubtful, dismissive king. All the while we can see David's steadfast nature and unrelenting desire to restore honor to the God of Israel and defeat the enemy that insults Him. We get a taste of David's battle resume, having killed lions and bears with his bear hands. Then we read through the action: we witness as David runs at Goliath, fearless in the face of evil BECAUSE he knows the God who goes before him, he slings the stone, sinking it deep in the giant's skull, killing him. God proves Himself faithful yet again as David emerges victorious. God is preparing each of us for battle we will face. Do not shy away from oppurtunities for spiritual training. God goes before you in the battles to which He has called you.
