Welcome Pastor Mike

Ring The Bells - Dillon and Worship Team

Scripture Reading - Stanley

"Over 700 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah foretold His coming. Isaiah declared that a child would be born—a Son who would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Let’s hear those words now."
[Read Isaiah 9:6-7]
"Let’s worship together as we proclaim the fulfillment of this prophecy: the Child who reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords."

For Unto Us A Child Is Born / Open The Eyes Of My Heart - Worship Team

Scripture Reading - Joette

"The birth of Jesus was announced in the most unexpected way: to humble shepherds watching over their flocks by night.
The angel of the Lord brought them good news of great joy for all people—that the Savior had been born in Bethlehem.
Let’s reflect on the awe and wonder of that night as we sing,

The First Noel

It Came Upon The Midnight Clear (Carol) O Come All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fideles)

Invite the congregation into a moment of adoration and giving of themselves in worship.

Christmas Offering

Reflective Moment - Richard

“Christmas is such a joyful season—full of lights, music, and celebration. But I know it can also be hard for some of us. Maybe tonight, instead of feeling the joy, you’re feeling tired, broken, or even distant from God. If that’s you, I want you to hear this: you’re not alone, and you’re not forgotten, Christ came for you.
The beautiful thing about what we are celebrating in this season is that Jesus didn’t come for the ones who have it all together. He came for the weary, the unfaithful, the brokenhearted. He came for you. He came for me. That’s the gospel—God doesn’t wait for us to fix ourselves. He invites us to come to Him just as we are, and He meets us with grace and love.
As we sing ‘O Come All Ye Unfaithful,’ I hope you’ll take a moment to breathe, to lay your burdens down, and to rest in the truth that Christ came to save us all. We are unworthy but through the blood of Christ, we have been brought in and have been made worthy. His love and mercy are for you tonight.”

O Come All You Unfaithful - Stella and Worship

“O Come All Ye Unfaithful”: This song can be a moment of reassurance that Christ came for everyone, no matter their past or present condition.

Scripture Reading - Richard

Matthew 1:21 ESV
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
Add to this
This is the reason that Christ came into the world. To save us from our sins.

Jesus Saves

Hark The Herald Angels Sing / King Of Heaven

Lead the congregation in celebrating the majesty of the
newborn King and His reign.

Lord's Supper - Richard

Introduce communion as a time to remember the purpose of Christ’s coming—His sacrifice for our salvation. Emphasize the connection between the humble birth in Bethlehem and the sacrificial love shown on the cross.
A soft instrumental version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel"
As you came in this evening, you should have received a little bag of bread and a little cup of juice like this… Go ahead and get that out.
When the Lord Jesus was with his disciples in the upper room, he instituted what we call Communion or the Lord’s Supper. And he instructed his followers, us, to regularly observe this ordinance. Why? Its to remind us of two things: 1. it is to remind us of what Jesus has done for us with his sacrifice on the cross and 2. it is to remind us that he is going to return for us because he did tell us that we will celebrate this meal together one day.
We call it communion because at the table, we commune with God and with each. This is also a time of reflection and of repentance.
Paul issues a warning to those who partake in the Lord Supper. He says in 1 Corinthians 11:27-29
1 Corinthians 11:27–29 ESV
Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
So if you are in the family of God, the Lord Jesus invites you to the table. If you are not yet a believer, please don’t feel awkward about not participating.
So, if you would, pull out the bread from its bag. The bread represents the body of the Lord Jesus broken for you. He took our sin upon his body and was broken in our place. As we eat of the bread think on this.
Let’s take just a moment in the quiet to thank the Lord for breaking his body for us.
Prayer for the Bread
The Apostle in 1 Corinthians says,
1 Corinthians 11:23–24 ESV
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
Eat the Bread
The cup is the Blood of Christ that was shed for you and for me. This is the perfect blood of the final sacrifice. The blood that has appeased the wrath of God on our behalf. Jesus took our sin upon his body and with his blood, we paid the penalty for it.
Jesus said, Matthew 26:27-28
Matthew 26:27–28 ESV
And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Before we partake in the cup, let’s take a minute to thank Jesus for shedding his blood for us.
Prayer for cup
The Apostle said 1 Cor 11:25
1 Corinthians 11:25 ESV
In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Drink the cup
As Paul said, 1 Corinthians 11:26
1 Corinthians 11:26 ESV
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
We will one day feast with the Lord Jesus when we are in his Kingdom. Let’s pray and then Pastor Mike will come up.
