He new where they was so why call ?

To show his not left them they sinned caused them to hind them self and yet God calls after them that speaks volumes

and that sin cause the separation not from

- God to Men

- But Men to God

But what about Genesis 3:23-24

Genesis 3:23–24 NKJV

therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

answer to that can be found in Verse 22 that people seem to jump over lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever

But there was a separation between God and us The Garden of Eden is Shut off from us -

But God Had a second Adam to fix it all -

But remember it’s Christmas So sin caused that separation if God was going to have that close intimate relationship with us that sin needed to be removed.
