THE BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE
THE BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE
INTRODUCTION:
THEIR ARE SO MANY BENEFITS , WHEN YOU WALK UPRIGHT BEFORE GOD.
THE ONE THING THAT WE CAN KNOW WHEN YOU ARE FAITHFUL TO GOD, HE IS FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES.
SOME PEOPLE MISS OUT ON THE BENEFITS OF GOD, BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO WALK IN HIS STATUES.
MOSES WAS THE ONE WHO GOD USE TO RECEIVE THE TEN COMMANDS.
MOSES THE AUTHOR OF LEVITICUS WANTED THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL TO KNOW THE BENEFITS OF WALKING IN OBEDIENCE.
GOD WILL GIVE YOU RAIN.
GOD WILL GIVE YOU PEACE.
GOD WILL SET HIS TABERNACLE AMONG YOU.
GOD WILL WALK AMONG YOU.
A. GOD WILL GIVE YOU RAIN.
Leviticus 26:3–4 “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.”
THE THREE PARTS OF OBEDIENCE THAT PLEASES GOD IS WE MUST WALK IN HIS STATUES, KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, AND DO THEM.
WHEN WE SUBMIT TO THOSE THREE THINGS, GOD WILL PROVIDE FOR US THAT WE WILL NEVER STARVE FOR ANYTHING RATHER MATERIAL OR SPIRITUAL.
BUT IF WE FAIL TO OBEY GOD EVERYTHING WE PLANT WILL BE CURSED.
WHEN GOD GIVES US RAIN, HE IS LOOKING FOR US TO REAP A HARVEST.
MANY OF US WANT THINGS FROM GOD, BUT WE ARE NOT WILLING TO DIE TO OURSELVES.
DYING TO YOURSELF IS ALLOWING GOD TO BE IN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE.
OBEDIENCE HAS KEEP MANY OF US FROM RECEIVING THINGS THAT WE SHOULD HAVE DESERVED.
Exodus 15:26 “and said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.”
MANY OF US ARE STILL WALKING AROUND WOUNDED BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT HEARKEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD.
2. GOD WILL GIVE YOU PEACE.
Leviticus 26:6 “And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.”
THE ONE THING THAT OBEDIENCE WILL PROVIDE FOR US IS PEACE.
THE REASON, BECAUSE WE ARE IN RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD.
AND WHEN WE ARE IN RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD, HE WILL MAKE EVEN YOUR SURROUNDING AT PEACE, SO YOU CAN REST IN HIM WITHOUT ANY DISTURBANCE.
HOW GOD DO THIS IS BY REMOVING THOSE WHO ALWAYS READY TO BE AT WAR WITH THOSE WHO AT PEACE.
Micah 4:3–5 “And he shall judge among many people, And rebuke strong nations afar off; And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruninghooks: Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; And none shall make them afraid: For the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it. For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, And we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.”
3. GOD WILL SET HIS TABERNACLE AMONG YOU.
Leviticus 26:11–12 “And I will set my tabernacle amongst you: and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.”
WHEN WE ARE OBEDIENT TO GOD, HE WILL MAKE HIS PRESENCE MADE KNOWN AMONG’ST US.
GOD SAID IF YOU LOVE ME YOU WILL DO MY COMMANDMENTS.
GOD’S CHILDREN DO WHAT’S HE SAYS.
THE BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE IS THAT I AM NEVER ALONE, BECAUSE MY GOD WALKS WITH ME.
NOT ONLY DO GOD WALKS WITH ME, BUT HE TALKS TO ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT I AM HIS OWN.
Ezekiel 37:24–27 “And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
