Judges 11:1–2 (KJV 1900)
Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
Numbers 26:29 (NASB95)
The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir became the father of Gilead: of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.
Point to ponder:
sometimes we are not accepted because our status of birth. Mother, Father, Family, Background, Ethnicity, Culture.
Point to ponder:
What is the cause and affect when we do things that is not God approved?
Here we see the children of the same mother push out the son of the same Father.
The sons pushed out the son of a different Mother, because they did not wont him to take part in being a part of the family. The Hebrew word for this is Re-qam: meaning empty with no family

Judges 11:3–4 (KJV 1900)
Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him. And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
Genesis 19:30–38 (NASB95)
Lot went up from Zoar, and stayed in the mountains, and his two daughters with him; for he was afraid to stay in Zoar; and he stayed in a cave, he and his two daughters.
Then the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of the earth.
“Come, let us make our father drink wine, and let us lie with him that we may preserve our family through our father.”
So they made their father drink wine that night, and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.
On the following day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve our family through our father.”
So they made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger arose and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.
Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father.
The firstborn bore a son, and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day.
As for the younger, she also bore a son, and called his name Ben-ammi; he is the father of the sons of Ammon to this day.

When the sons of Ammon fought against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob;
and they said to Jephthah, “Come and be our chief that we may fight against the sons of Ammon.”
Then Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “Did you not hate me and drive me from my father’s house? So why have you come to me now when you are in trouble?”
The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “For this reason we have now returned to you, that you may go with us and fight with the sons of Ammon and become head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”
So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you take me back to fight against the sons of Ammon and the Lord gives them up to me, will I become your head?”
The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The Lord is witness between us; surely we will do as you have said.”
