Depending on your religious/spiritual background or the type of Church you go to, you have or will eventually hear about “doctrine”. For some Churches or “Church Leaders”, the word and concept of doctrine has become an ugly and disgusting word, but should it be?
The word and concept of doctrine doesn’t just have importance in Biblical and Faith matters however, but it is a concept that is used throughout our society. So in this video and episode, let’s see what we can learn about doctrine, see how it affects us in everyday life outside of a religion, spirituality, or the Christian faith in particular, and as we begin to understand the use of doctrine outside of matters of faith and practice, we can better understand it’s significance for us as believers and disciples of The Lord Jesus in the next video in this series.

Definition and areas of practice

Study.com- A doctrine is defined as a core principle within a system of knowledge. As the term applies to the law, it refers to one of these principles that is formed by continued legal precedents
(judicial decisions that have been made in cases over a period of time).
Doctrine affects people’s personal and life perspective, as well as how they make their decisions, how they interact with people, or refuse to interact with people.
*Breakdown medical and legal doctrines/principles to give examples of how different doctrines can work by holding to, removing, withholding, or ignoring known or available principles.
Now expand the “principle” of doctrine to other areas of life such as military, store operations, organizational operations, etc.
Use this to lead into the introduction of religious/spiritual doctrines.
