5 Things That God (Jesus) Wants You To Know!

English Standard Version (Matthew 9:1-7)

9 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. 2 And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.” 3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.” 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” 7 And he rose and went home.

1. God wants you you to know that the most important thing you can find in your life is salvation!

Notice Jesus did’nt just heal this man.

Yet look at what He says to Him!

And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”

The most imporant thing in a persons life is salvation!

There is nothing in this life that is more important than a soul!

Jesus expressed this when He told the 3 parables in the Gospel of Luke!

English Standard Version (Luke 15:1)

15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

The Parable of the Lost Coin

8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ 10 Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

There is more value in the soul than there is in anything else.

The soul is eternal. The soul will live forever! The soul will find itself in one of two places! There is an heaven to gaina nd a hell to shun!

King James Version (Mark 8:34-37)

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

HERE IS THE THING! Everyone needs salvation!

Salvation is the greatest thing! If you are saved you got it all!

2. God wants you to know that He (Jesus) has the power to forgive your sins!

There were some that didnt believe it!

i. He wanted the people to know it so he proved it!

He proved it through the miracle that He did!

King James Version (John 3:1-2)

3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

ii. He wants you to know it so He keeps on proving it!

This has often been proven by the miraculous signs that follow the preaching of the Gospel!

*****How many of you have been paralyzed from the legs down and have been healed and able to walk? All of you have!

He picked me up He turned me around He placed my feet on solid ground I thank the Master I thank the Savior Because He healed my heart He changed my name Forever free, I'm not the same I thank the Master I thank the Savior I thank God

Now it is not just the fact that He has the power to forgive sins, but it is also the fact that He and He alone has the power to forgive sins!

3. God wants you to know that only He (Jesus) has the power to forgive your sins!

It is not just the fact that he has the power. He is the only one with that power. That means noone else can do this! Some people look to other people. But the only one you can look too for forgiveness is Jesus!

I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes unto the Father except through me!

English Standard Version (John 10:1-11)

10 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

4. God wants you to know that no matter how spiritually paralyzed you may be and no matter how long you have been like it you can rise up and walk this very night!

—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” 7 And he rose and went home.

Your a sinner and you might say but I don’t know how to walk. The paralytic could have said I don’t know how to walk. But he didnt say I don’t know how too! When Jesus spoke He listened and it changed his life!

When Jesus Speaks the dumb talk! When Jesus speaks the lame walk! When Jesus speaks the deaf hear! When Jesus speaks....

5. God wants you to know that He (Jesus) loves you!

King James Version (John 3:16-17)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
