The 10th Commandment tonight

What are the 9 Commandments that we have covered thus far

Tell me a bit about each one

Have no other Gods before me

Have no idols

Do not take the Lords name in vain

Keep the Sabbath and keep it holy

Honor your Father and Mother

You shall not Murder

You shall not commit adultery

You shall not steal

You shall not lie

So what is the 10th one

Exodus 20:17 NASB95

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

So what does that mean?

What does that look like to apply to our lives

So What has Jesus said about the 10 Commandments

Matthew 22:36–40 NASB95

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 “This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Do you understand how each one of those 10 fit into the 2 that jesus condenced them down to?

Do you understand how when we do these we grow closer to Jesus

Even we are loving other people we are growing closer to Christ?
