How are we saved?

ABC’s?
Admit that you are a sinner
Believe that Jesus is the son of God who died for our sins, was buried, and raised on the third day?
Confess that Jesus is Lord with your mouth?
Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Is that all there is to is?

1. Showing Faith in Action

James 2:14–17 NKJV
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
What is faith?
What are works?
What saves us?
How does the world know that we are saved?
James 2:18–20 NKJV
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
Why must we do good works?
Why are the demons not saved if they believe in God?
Luke 4:41 (NKJV)
And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.
James 2:21–24 NKJV
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
How did Abraham demonstrate true faith?
How can we show this kind of faith?

4. Courageously Displaying Faith

James 2:25–26 (NKJV)
Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
How did Rahab show faith?
Our faith in Jesus should show Jesus to the world.
ἀγάπη - ► Agape (communion, love) Greek word for “unconditional love” The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends. (John 15:13)
Once we accept Christ, if we truly believe, our hearts desire is to serve Christ and make Him known. We do this by sacrificially serving others so that they will see Christ in us and want to know whats different about us.
