Angels in Amazement

Imagine the Angels observing the events come to fruition through Christ.
The Bible tells us in the book of Job how the Angels witnessed creation.
They saw the fall of man
They witnessed man throughout history, events like the flood, Sodom and Gomorra, David killing Goliath, Esther making a stand for her people…
Then…
The Angel Gabriel got to announce to Mary she would give birth to Jesus, the Messiah. God Himself!
Luke 1:30–32 (NASB95)
The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
The Angels announce in praise the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
Luke 2:10–11 (NASB95)
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
The Bible tells us the Angles are in awe of God and His redemptive plan for mankind.
The angels are Amazed at God’s Love.

God’s Amazing Love

From the beginning of time God set out to redeem you and I by His love for us.
This plan of love began before time itself. A Redeemer, the Messiah would come to save mankind.
Genesis 3:15 (NASB95)
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
Philippians 2:5–7 (NASB95)
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
God Loves you so much!
1 John 4:10 (NASB95)
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Propitiation - means that Jesus’ life and death was enough to satisfy God’s wrath toward your sin and my sin.
He didn’t wait for us to love Him. He loved us first through Jesus.
John 3:16 (NASB95)
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Today’s verse - God gave His son, Wow!
If you want to experience His love in an incredible way, He says all have to do is believe.
Do you know Him this morning? The greatest Christmas present you could give yourself and your family is to accept Christ as your savior.
