Introduction:
Unto us a king is born, but not just any king, The Anointed of God!
However, do we really see Jesus as a real king? — Develop how people think of this as mythology
Before the night Christ came — Hope, Peace, Joy, Love!
Long had Israel waited for the Messiah, open to — Isaiah 9:2-7
2 The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.
3 You will multiply the nation, You will increase their joy; They will rejoice in Your presence As with the joy of harvest, As people rejoice when they divide the spoils.
4 For You will break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian.
5 For every boot of the marching warrior in the roar of battle, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.
6 For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

Light Shines in Darkness
Light Shines in Darkness
Isaiah foretold that people will be walking in darkness. — verse 2
But then out of nowhere light will suddenly shine, they will see it, it will be in the open not hidden!
5 And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.
46 I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness.
In the conflict between light and dark, light always wins!
In the conflict between Satan and Christ, Christ always wins!
Gone is the Yoke of Sin!
Gone is the Yoke of Sin!
Isaiah foretold - verse 4
Jesus coming into the world ment the yoke of sin would be removed. — Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”
With Jesus in our life we are no longer bound to sin!
If Christianity is a burden them may I suggest…..
We need this King!
We need this King!
Foretold by Isaiah — verse 6-7
Christ is a king unlike any other!
Kings make promises and rarely keep them!
God made promises and His Christ fulfilled them!
The sign — Luke 2:11
11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
His kingdom and government are here — Matthew 28:18
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
He is the long awaited mighty God — Deuteronomy 10:17
17 For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who does not show partiality, nor take a bribe.
The Christ of the Father is The King of Kings and The Lord of Lords — Revelation 17:14
14 These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”
Unto us a King is born, born like any other whose birth was unlike any other!
