Let us turn in our bibles to the Book of Revelation Chapter 22 verse 5 as we continue our study of the Book of Revelation chapter by chapter verse by verse.
Today will be Part 160 in a teaching series entitled:
SUBJECT: Teaching from the Book of Revelation Part 160
Subtitle: The New Jerusalem-Part 5
John writes in Revelation 22:5 this:
Revelation 22:5 (KJV 1900)
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Once again we find John writing about the glorious light being in the New Jerusalem. And there will be no artificial light used such as a candle during John’s time or light bulbs in today’s time. But the glorious light of the New Jerusalem will be the presence of God and once again John writes that we shall reign with Him forever and ever.
John goes on to write in the next verse;
Revelation 22:6 (KJV 1900)
6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
One of the angels from the pouring of the seven vials said to him that the sayings are faithful and true And this is coming from the Lord God who sent him to show all believers the things which must be done soon. This message is the Word of God and it is trustworthy. God’s Word can be depended upon. It is faithful and true and can be relied upon. God cannot lie. It is not false and is not created by mankind.
