Today’s message is meant for someone who is looking for a way forward. Somone who is lost in the melee of life and they have been seeking God’s hand to take them to a place of fulness and purpose. Are you tired of randomness and the chaos of what that brings to your day to day. Then this message is for you!
1 Sam 7:3
3Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the Lord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”
New American Standard Bible
There was a clear and unhealthy focus on something that is being addressed by Samuel
Return to the Lord, changing course, what does repentence mean to God, what does it look like?
If you are to return you have to acknowledge that at some point , you had departed. So in other words you are NOT where you need to be.
Look at your life and seek to identify the things that are not meant to be driving your focus
Remove the foreign gods, reject, seperate yourself from, be set apart from
Direct your hearts, set the terms, make the rules, bring under subjection
Serve him alone, be faithful, loyalty, only eyes for him
Deliver you from the hand of , salvation
Deuteronomy 30:8–10 “8 And you shall again obey the voice of the Lord and keep all his commandments that I command you today. 9 The Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers, 10 when you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, when you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
