Homosexuality Is an Abomination

1 Corinthians 6:9 “9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,”

1 Corinthians 6:10 “10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Leviticus 18:22 “22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.”

Leviticus 20:13 “13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.”

Jude 7 “7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

Romans 1:26–28 “26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. Flee From Sexual Immorality ; Run Far From It

Genesis 39:7–12 NKJV

7 And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” 8 But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. 9 There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” 10 So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. 11 But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.

we are to flee and run far from sexual immorality like Joseph did here

1 Corinthians 6:18 “18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”

Sinning agains your own body… yes other sins affect your body but sexual immorality is the sin that hurts your soul

therefore it is a sin that hurts your spirit

our body is a temple and when you hurt your spirit you are defiling the temple God has given you

sexual sin is the one sin that Bonds us to the very thing we are sinning with

for example

if i watch porn, what ever fantasy i Have , i have created a desire for that because i have bonded to that very thing through the act of Sexual Sin

1 Corinthians 6:19 “19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

again the body is not our body, when we Have Christ Dwelling in us through his holy spirit we are hurting that spirit

Essentially we are defiling God with sexual sin

Galatians 2:20 “20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
