I see it coming

Ezekiel 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

To begin with Brothers and sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers and Saints of God’s we glint gleam and gaze at this prophetic text I want to say that Ezekiel was a way ahead of his time… I see this Priest, Prophet, Preacher, and Poiman bigger than ever before… The man of God is way ahead of his time. Stuff Ezekiel was talking about back then in biblical antiquity is happening right now in 2025. And all I can say is I see it coming.

Listen 3x Brothers and sisters you know how it is when you grandma nem pointed that finger and say you been cutting up and carrying on and “I see it coming.” Wait mo mo what you see coming ? She would say Raymn a hard head makes a soft tail. Some people got to be shown that God mean what He says and Says what He means.

And then when it would happen to me, she didn’t have to say a word about it, But she knew that I knew that she had already said “I see it coming.” The message to the church is God is speaking and Ezekiel the prophet says and “I see it coming”.

But what does that mean Pastor? Let’s explore the text for the answers. And the prophetic thing about that is, Church you have to look with three dimensional eyesight. 1. You’ve got to see the text in past,

2. You’ve got to see the text here and now in present, and

3. You’ve got to see the text from the prospective of the Future.

Ezekiel 33:1 . Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

The key word to me in this text is Again.. Whatttttt Yeah the Again.. I mean how did I miss it all those times before. The Again means that you’ve had education and you’ve been taught. Yes sir Education!!! 4x So you should be a Cogonoscente (Khan-ya-shin-ti) on the subject by now. Because a Cognoscente is an expert in a certain field of study. That person has expert knowledge of a subject area.

Let me make it plain baby. Thou shalt not touch that Hot Stove!!! You might be hard headed the first time, but after that stove burn your ass real good, mo mo ain’t never got to tell you no mo. And so Ezekiel says the word Again. I’m telling you again. I’m teaching you again. I’m talking to you about it again.

Ezekiel is considered to be a major prophet He’s the son of a priest. Ezekiel started out as a priest. Ezekiel was orthodox. Ezekiel was Bonafide. Ezekiel was legit. Ezekiel was well learned. And Ezekiel had a close relationship with the Lord God Jehovah. And when you’re close to God it easier to hear God’s voice when He speaks. Don’t miss that.. Because God spoke to Ezekiel ans said Once again a message came to me from the LORD: 2 “Son of man, give your people this message: ‘When I bring an army against a country, the people of that land choose one of their own to be a watchman. 3 When the watchman sees the enemy coming, he sounds the alarm to warn the people. 4 Then if those who hear the alarm refuse to take action, it is their own fault if they die. 5 They heard the alarm but ignored it, so the responsibility is theirs. If they had listened to the warning, they could have saved their lives. 6 But if the watchman sees the enemy coming and doesn’t sound the alarm to warn the people, he is responsible for their captivity. They will die in their sins, but I will hold the watchman responsible for their deaths.’

The criteria laid out in these 6 verse is this:

1. I sent you a pastor.

2. He’s not on this side or the other He’s on My Side.

3. He’s going to warn you and tell you I see it coming.

4. His words are not going to be partisan politics, it’s going to be a message for every body who listens.

5. If you don’t listen to my warning said the Lord Then I’m going to allow the enemy to whip the hell out you and you gon die!

6. And if this preacher that I sent to tell that I’m coming does not tell you like I told him to tell you, than I’m going to get him. And lastly

7. Your blood will be on his head, for not telling you to straighten up and fly right.

Ezekiel said church I see it coming and here’s the proof in 7 “Now, son of man, I am making you a watchman for the people of Israel. Therefore, listen to what I say and warn them for me. 8 If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths. 9 But if you warn them to repent and they don’t repent, they will die in their sins, but you will have saved yourself.

Son of man I put you there to tell them the truth. And Ezekiel says I see it coming. What’s coming? and Why is it coming? and Can I stop it from coming?

The word says in verses 10&11 that God tells Ezekiel to tell them, So you’ll are complaining to God talking about ,how ‘your sins are heavy upon you; and that you’re wasting away! and You’ll asking How can we survive hah?’

And God says in verse 11 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? God’s message is a stanch reminder of Veracity and Integrity of God. God is not a man that He should lie. God knows what we do even when we think that nobody else knows. He says Turn from wickedness. Turn from wrong doing. Turn from wayward warped living and be righteous.

Tell your neighbor: Be Righteous.

We serve a perfect God, and I’m afraid that how we skew facts based on our click and clan will not cut the muster with God. It’s a new year so let’s get right, start off right, keep right, and hold on to the righteous ways of God.

Look at verse 12 “Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins.

Ezekiel says I see it coming From the KJV verse 12 Says “Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

I have prominent examples in this issue from verse 12.. The first part of V 12’s argument is “The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression:

1. Adam was righteous until he listened to Eve. Eve was righteous until she listened to the devil instead of God.Be careful who you’re listening too

2. Moses was righteous until he struck the rock out of anger instead of just touching the rock. As a result Moses didn’t get to go to the Promise Land. He had to stay back on MT Nebo and watch them same knuckle headed children of Israel go across the Jordan while he got left behind.

3. David was righteous until he dipped and dived slip and slid a rolled and polled with Bathsheba who was Uriah’s wife. Then had the man killed on the front lines on the battlefield. And the preacher had to come and tell him about his self.

Verse 12 says “The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: That literally mean that you can cause yourself undue stress and pain by making wrong choices.

Then the b clause of verse 12.as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness;

I like this part of the verse because this is an example of a lot of us. A lot of us was too mean to live and wasn’t fit to die, and Some way and Somehow we turned from our wicked ways and God stepped in and took my soul from a low bottom hell. He picked me up and turned me around and He put my feet on solid ground. We had to do something first. Somebody say what it is Rev? We had to Repent. Repentance is a change of mind. We have a right to change our mind!!! That’s called Free Will. I was speeding going way too fast and I said boy you better slow down. I slowed down and when I got to about 65 mph on the interstate my right front tire blew out.!!Bome!! and I eased over to the shoulder and changed the tire. I had free will and I changed my wicked behavior and God spared me right before a possible deadly accident. “how many times have God spared you when you changed your mind about wrong doings? Ezekiel said I see it coming. What about Nineveh? Nineveh was the Assyrian Capital city under King Sennacherib and Nineveh was some kind of town. OH yeah, And God sent Jonah to preach to the Ninevites. And to his surprise the Ninevites Repented. And God spared them.

I know for a fact that you can change your outcome by righteous actions or wicked actions. And make no mistake about it which ever path we choose God know that too and will respect your choices. Because the last part of verse 12 is that neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. I’ve been in the church 40 50 years and if you cutting up and carrying on you can fix it so you bust hell wide open too. Verse 12 is true unless verse 13 is a lie. Somebody say what is verse 13

13 When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their righteous acts will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins. I said but this is Old Testament stuff… First of all every word from God is true and powerful 2nd. In the New Testament when Jesus healed a man Jesus said go and sin no more unless something worst should come upon you. Listen to me real good, the Good Lord told me, son you can clown with me if you want to thinking that all those sermons will get you out, all of those hospital visits will get you out, performing and conducting all of those funerals will get you out, thinking that Baptizing all of those people will get and whatever else righteous deeds and acts that you’ve done will get you out, but if life catches you with you work undone and you look as wicked and as wayward and as warp as the people you’re preaching to, Then I’m going to deal with you. Paul said because we have Grace Shall we continue in sin, God forbid. Ezekiel said I see it coming. Somebody is thinking that God is playing with them.

14 And suppose I tell some wicked people that they will surely die, but then they turn from their sins and do what is just and right. 15 For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life-giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die. 16 None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live.

God has given some of us another chance, not just a second chance… So here the formula brothers and sisters “God said straighten up,

Retool yourself, start over, Live Righteously and I’ll bless you better than you would have been blessed being out in the world.

Then the text takes a turn, Then the listener, the parishioner, and the supposedly child of God speaks. I say supposedly because listen to how the carnal mind speaks 17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. 18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. 19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. 20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

God says first of all you got the nerve to open up your sinful mouth to Me And pass Judgement on the Righteous Judge? Brothers and sisters please be careful before you go to saying God is Not Equal. God is not Fair, God Ain’t right for that.

2ndly WE can’t change the rules of engagement. God sets the rules. God sets the standards! God is the True Measuring Rod For Righteousness. Brothers and sisters Don’t ever get it twisted, Because In my flesh dwells no good thing. And God knows us better than we know ourselves. and

3rdly, The bottom line is “If you do right, Righteousness will come back to you”. “God is Fair”. “But if you do wrong, wrong will come back to you”. “God is fair and it ain’t the devil doing this either”.

Ezekiel is saying to the people of God This is the message from the Master. And God said All who are my chosen people. who been eating blood sacrificed to idols and then worshipping idols. And those who have been committing adultery and acting like it ain’t nothing to it, You gon get got. Ezekiel says I see it coming. I see it coming!!!

Lastly it’s comical, even laughable, but it’s so serious. Because even in Ezekiel’s time the people like a preacher with a beautiful mourn with a great tone. God says they hear you but they ain’t listening. They just want their feel good and then go home and be able to say didn’t us have church today. It would have hurt my feeling but Ezekiel says to me Allen that’s the way it is. And long before you people been just like that,

So Keep on Preaching And keep on Teaching because Paul said Preach when they want to hear you and Preach more so when they don’t want to hear what God says.

And So I’ve got to close here um um um The bible says That the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal Life. Um Um Um Yes.

The bible says The soul that sinneth shall surely die um um And

There is no sin the is not common to man and God will provide a way of escape.

In other words if you Repent and be converted the Lord will look pass your faults and see about your every need Oh Yes He will.

The Psalmist said I don’t look toward no hills because murderers and robbers are in the hills But tah I Look toward the Lord because The Lord will come and see about me. Um UM Um That’s why

the Hebrew text says Looking unto Jesus who is the Author and finisher of our faith.who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I’m so glad that Jesus knew all about our ways. And despite our failures, fizzures, and flaws Jesus said Father I go and die for mankind’ sins.

Because Even after Isaiah Jeremiah, Ezekiel Daniel Hosea Joel Amos Obadiah Jonah Micah Nauhuum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Zechariah and Malachi could not Redeem them, Jesus said I’ll Redeem Mankind because I’ll be His Kinsman Redeemer, I’ll be mankind’s Propitiation, I be mankind’s suffering servant. I ll be mankind Sacrificial Lamb. Ans I’ll bring mankind back into a Saving Relationship with you Father. Ain’t He Alright.
