1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the child born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and follow His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Your value of the gift is expressed because of its thoughtfulness, uniqueness, and usefulness

A gift doesn’t cost me anything…its free
A gift its a gift if I could get it myself, it becomes a personal investment
A gift that demands any type of compensation disqualifies the idea, purpose, and meaning behind the gift
A gifts cost is only important to the one giving the gift.
A gift cannot be boasted upon as something you’ve earn.

The Response to The Gift
It Changes our Belief in the giver
It reflects our perspective relationship differently (Surpasses modern day POV)
It shows are love for our heavenly father and what he offered us in His SON
It increases our love for the family and our willingness to live in obedience
We are called into obedience because of God’s love for us.
The gift we have allows us to be an overcomer because of what the gift does for us.
“It’s not about the gift tucked under the tree; but about the Gift that hung on a tree”
