What Could Have Been, But Victory Was Born!

A Covenant With God!

Isaiah 7:14;

I know we love to read The Story of Jesus, no crib for His Head, and that He was wrapped in swaddling clothes - which is fine and dandy, but do you realize the reason why He had to come was due to our defeated and doomed state?

Yes - The Gospel would not have been born without the fall of man to provoke The WORD of God to come forth!

Man kindled The Anger of God, but God remembered His Promise, and sent His Word, rather than wrath!

You may sit there and say, Pastor, what does that have anything to do with The Birth of Jesus? Well let us journey back to why God had to send His Word into The Earth!

Genesis 6:5 “5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

We know that God flooded the earth because man became so wicked and could not leave evil alone - they continued in it!

So it repented God that He had made man - That troubles me because God - Supreme, no one beside Him nor above Him - breathed Himself into man and yet we left who we were intended to be, to become whom we desire to be!

I heard the other night from Bishop Brian Moore, and what he said make so much sense - God will allow ugly and desire to live in the same house, but you will have to deal with ugly, before you can get to your desires!

God promised that HE would not do man like that again, even when He has the right to do whatever He wants and how He wants, yet He loves us so much to remove wrath and send Grace! Yes I know you want to hear the normal Christmas story, but God told me to tell you that in this next season, this next year, in order for you to claim what I have already said, your level of maturity must be increased, because if you do not elevate your thinking - you will still be wandering in the previous! Isaiah 7:9 “9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, And the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established.” ’ ””

Man had another chance and yet they wanted it their way - not God’s Way - All God asked of them is that they honor Him - Worship Him and be Him in the earth! He created us to be Him in the earth! Instead, they rather know their own ways and not His Way! Isaiah 1:3 “3 The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master’s crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider.””

We are considering too much of the wrong thoughts and less of God’s Word and Promise! God brought you out with His Mighty Hand, Right Hand and established a covenant with you - Only Believe!

God spoke to Ahaz, whom did not follow God as David did, but allowed the world’s view to direct his ways - Here at New Directions, we know that the road may not look pleasing, nor easy, but we follow Christ!

Ahaz thought he was doing God a favor by not asking - How are you in need and won’t ask The Father for a sign?

I heard my Bishop say last night; how we won’t talk to God as if He did not promise and will do it - it is because of our perspective has not correct! When you have a relationship with God and you know that He cannot lie - God, You said that You would deliver me when I turn to you and surrender all to you - God I have sown the seed and now I need my harvest!

Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz - “Quick to plunder, swift to carry away” In this next year, God is going to make things easy for you to acquire! What was once seemingly out of reach, God is pulling within reach - but you are going to have to extend yourself in order to get what God has provided!

Ahaz did not want to extend his thinking, thus he remained in a defeated mindset - no longer will I be defeated when Unto Us Victory Was Born!

Hope was born!

Healing was born!

Deliverance was born!

Sanity was born!

Grace was born!

Peace. . . Joy. . .
