Pray
See, the virgin will become pregnant
and give birth to a son,
and they will name him Immanuel,
which is translated “God is with us.”
Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light.
Guided by the Spirit, he entered the temple. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform for him what was customary under the law, Simeon took him up in his arms, praised God, and said,
Now, Master,
you can dismiss your servant in peace,
as you promised.
For my eyes have seen your salvation.
You have prepared it
in the presence of all peoples—
a light for revelation to the Gentiles
and glory to your people Israel.
FALLOWING THE LIGHT
The Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to lead them on their way during the day and in a pillar of fire to give them light at night, so that they could travel day or night.

Are you following the light today?
Why is it that we walk in the darkness of this world and not use the light of Christ to guide us.
2. TRUSTING THE LIGHT
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.”
3. PURIFICATION OF THE LIGHT
Purification of water using sunlight on water in a glass jar.
Not only in the jar covered in light but the light penetrates inside to purify what can’t be seen by the eye.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace
Jesus the light of the world can purify you by covering us with HIS shed blood.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Anyone who believes in him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. This is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed. But anyone who lives by the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God.”
Are you in the light or the darkness?

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
