Praise The Lord

In just a few days we will be closing the year of 2024

Is very important that we remember and are thankful for everything God has done for us before we welcome the New year.

About 3 months ago, we were praying for our church, and we believed the word of the Lord to us, was, Praise the Lord.

Simple but very powerful so we did it.

Praise creates an environment where our Heavenly Father inhabits.

Psa 150:1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens!

Psa 150:2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Let’s Pray

1 Our God notices our praises

We all create an environment, an atmosphere around us, that is good or bad.

If I’m complaining about the weather, about my work, about people around me, I’m creating a negative environment, toxic environment not only for myself but for everyone around me.

Is easy to stay in a negative mode, this people did me wrong, look at this medical report, the inflation, and you have an attitude about it.

What we are sending out will come back to us. Discouragement, self pity, defeat, bad breaks.

But when we create an environment of praise, thanking God for what He has done,

God thank you that I’m alive, thank you for this beautiful day, for my beautiful wife, children and grandchildren, thank for a roof over my head, for food on my table.

This environment of faith and Praise, attracts good things into our lives. Faith, break troughs, favor, and the presence of God.

We need to pay attention to see what kind of environment we are creating around our lives.

If we are always talking about our problems, how things are not going to work out, how this challenge is too big,

it’s possible that a negative environment around our self’s, is blocking the blessings God wants to poor upon us.

Scripture says That God inhabits the praises of his people

Psa 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.

Psa 22:4 In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them.

He inhabits the praises of his people doesn’t say that He inhabits our problems our murmuring and complaining,

When I’m complaining about the traffic, the children, the lines at Costco it does not get God’s attention, He probably keeps his distance.

But when we praise Him, when you are facing difficulties and we continue to praise Him even when nothing is changing, that catches his attention and he says let me step inn.

Let me create away, when we are facing an impossible situation and we are praising Him, He will do the impossible.

We will be always tempted to be negative, but choose to give praise

David said magnify the Lord with me

Psa 34:3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!

Psa 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

Praise is what will attract God to come and help us.

2 Our praises are a sweet-smelling aroma.

2Co 2:15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,

2Co 2:16 to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

God notices our sweet smell, attracts him, He will come after you it pleases him.

The one who is magnifying His name, the one who is glorify Him, the worshiper in spirit and truth, is attractive to Him.

He probably makes a comment to His angels do you smell this sweet aroma?

I wonder what kind of aroma you are sending out, something that is inviting God into your life or something that He want to pass by, far way,

When we hear coming out of our mouths, how bad the traffic is, how bad was my day, how unconsidered that person was, all the sudden we are putting out and odor a bad odor.

Is the aroma you sending attracting your Heavenly Father or sending Him away? Bad attitude stinks.

If we live bitter, angry, filled with jealousy, none of these things attracts God.

We don’t need more than a few minutes, to recognize a negative bitter person, sometimes their smell goes before them.

We need God to fulfill our destiny, if we choose an environment of Praise, Joy, peace, freedom, abundance will come for you.

few months ago someone killed a pig on top of our property and left some of it for me to clean up.

They just threw what they didn’t want inside of our property line, and soon a bad odor was coming down the hill, it got so bad that some of the guys who were building us a chicken coop, had to stop to find the pig and bury it, it was unbearable so powerful. Bad odor affects anyone around.

At the other hand I remember the smell of my mothers cakes and desserts, they were very attractive even before you get in the house there was not necessary to call me for a meal I was on my way.

What kind of aroma is coming out with your words, a bad odor or a sweet smell

If you choose to praise our Heavenly Father, declaring God’s victories over your life you will create an environment of Praise.

Psa 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

3 Make melody in your heart ,

Eph 5:19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,

Eph 5:20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Instead of complaining about your job

Just say

Thank you Lord that I have a job, thank you for my children , thank you, that you are greater and more powerful than my medical report

Are You creating around yourself an environment of praise, of faith or creating and environment of doubt despair discouragement?

Praise is the tool to defeat the enemy

King Jehoshaphat the 4th king of Judah , after him appointed judges and set things in order.

2Ch 20:1 After this the Moabites and Ammonites, and with them some of the Meunites, came against Jehoshaphat for battle.

It was a great army Judah and Jehoshaphat would be totally destroyed and they were on their way

Ch 20:3 Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

2Ch 20:4 And Judah assembled to seek help from the LORD; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

They all came together to pray this was a serious matter life or death

2Ch 20:13 Meanwhile all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

2Ch 20:14 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.

2Ch 20:15 And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's.

God was going to battle for them, always takes faith when we are listening to the word of the Lord

2Ch 20:21 And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

2Ch 20:22 And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.

2Ch 20:23 For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another.

As they began to worship, the Lord moved and the enemy was destroyed, by the time they arrived to the tower they could see the enemy, there was only dead bodies, they could only collect the spoils and took them 3 days to do it.

We may be limited but He is unlimited

In the beginning of November as we were praying for the church, we had just returned a grant from the state because we didn’t qualified our request for permit, was sitting in someone’s desk.

As we ask the Lord, what shall we do, He said Praise Him

He said the permit will be released and I will bring the money for the completion of the church, 3 days later the permit was released a week after construction began, our up to date estimate is 1 million and 21 thousand to complete everything, we had different people looking at it, is a fair estimate, $650 thousand for us to open our doors and have our services inside again. During our Christmas eve service we had over $160 thousand donated the day after we got a check for $250 thousand, by friends of Mokuaikaua, we are looking for 650 friends and members who can commit to a $1000 for the next 4 months $250 a month or one time gift.

Praise Him with us

1 Creates an environment of Praise and your Heavenly Father notices it

2 Our praises are a sweet-smelling aroma to our God

3 Make melody in your heart

Have you made Jesus the Lord of your life?

If not I want to give you the opportunity to make Him your Lord and savior.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Joh 3:16

To receive Jesus we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, ask Him to be your Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.

Heavenly Father I’m sinner,

I’m sorry for my sins,

I’m willing to turn away from my sins.

I receive Christ as my savior,

I confess him as Lord

from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,

in the fellowship of his church,
